    ERIC DOLPHY

Looks like a Dodo bird. turkey strangling is what a friend of mine calls it when a player strangles his horn with his fingers moving up and down the keys like thunder, producing a sound like that of a turkey being strangled. Dolphy is the master. Over here we call it chicken choking. that's for wussies, real guys go for turkey strangling.
  7. I guess you didn't, still the win was deserved really (for once, when it comes to penalty shoot-outs). The Dutch were on top most of the time, but the Swedish defense was TIGHT. Sweden had some terrifying attacks, but the Dutch were the only ones who really got an attack or two going out of their own and from more than a defensive mistake. BIG kudos to the Swedes, I would not have mourned had they reached the semi-finals, but this is a bit more comfortable, although not on the beer reserves....
  8. bye bye netherlands... I was gonna write, but WOOOOOHOOOOOOO Van Der Sar once again proved to be one of the feghing bestest goalies present at the tournament, and fegh if Robben didn't deserve to make this final penalty. HELLYEAH!!!!
  9. yup. we do, but damn, that referee could have kept that whistle out of his mouth some more, what? incredible, he interupted some pretty interesting attacks on both sides. If it comes to penalties: bye bye Netherlands. Pity but true, they were the better team today, but could not reach the goal when they needed to.
  10. thus far a tame game. Some more chances for the Dutch, but some *very* dangerous Swedes too. All is open. Nothing extraordinary, too much at stake maybe, still a pretty nice game to watch. The referee is not too good, blows the whistle just a tad too often and disrupts where he should not.

Is it good? And is it available on CD by chance? the one pictured above (not the smell rat, dunno about that one), yes it's available on CD on couw analog to digital productions. A copy resides in Suisse already. It's pretty good, though the awkward balance between the structured and the freeer parts may need some getting used to. Sometimes the players seem too eager to get to the free blowing solo part and sound a bit sloppy on the ensembles. Still a worthwhile album I'd say.

Good stuff. I am pretty sure I have this saxophone guy somewhere. Did an AMG search on Manfred Herring and found the following album. Now how can you possibly ignore an album titled like this? hey, the Ulrich Gumpert Workshop Band!
