  1. don't count on it !! as Larsson got rid of his rasta hairdo ages ago, Crouch will need to think up something else
  2. AFAIK this was never issued in the 10" conn series. The Farlow was paired with McGhee and the two Salvador volumes saw an own release.

  4. I am confused. First the small guy has the big moustache then the long guy has the moustache and now this
  5. if you protest, you risk a card. That is the authoritarian way of FIFA.
  6. anybody know what happened to Popovic?
  7. actually the US wasn't much different from the african teams: lots of soul and heart and spirit and want, but not enough quality up front to finish it off. It is telling that the only US goal was actually an Italian goal... Mind you: the Italians played like a pile of phone wires and they did not even deserve their goal, but at least they have that quality to take that one chance and make a goal out of it.
  8. that's what I thought until I saw the replay. Legs stretched up front, no ball, only opponent. = bye bye Mastroeni Simply stoopid action, particularly with the ref standing two metres away. Germans talk of the "Fingerspitzengefühl" that refs need. Refs hate that talk. But this one had plenty of it.
  9. BOF! Italy vs. USA - 1:1 man of the game: the ref and I mean that in a good sense, finally a guy who doesn't wimper but simply pulls that damn card when it is needed and keeps it to himself when it isn't.
  10. in spite of some ho hum playing in between that was a fun game to watch! Ghana beats the Czech Republic 2:0. Who'd'a'thunk?! The Africans showed some impressive combinations. The referee had a bit of a hemorrhoidic moment when he had to get information from his linesman on who took down the Ghana player. WTF? He didn't see this himself? Then he took a-a-g-e-s to twist out his red card after taking some more ages to theatrically separate the offender, and the Ghana player took his PK in the meantime. So our pedantic little referee gives the 20 year old Ghana player a yellow. Great going ref. You're a real sport... Maybe the Ghana player had fallen asleep and dreamt he heard a whistle. I mean, it DID take a...a...a...g...e...s...
  11. Angola stands strong! That red card was a bit over the top. FIFA rules explicitedly state that handling of the ball is NOT necessarily a yellow card offense. So fegh this ref as well. It's not as if the feghing mechicans did not handle the ball on, let me count 1, 2, 3... any more times? pffff----
  12. actually, the stoopid reffin' went both ways. There were some utter feghingly shite decision killing nice offensive football by that ref. The Dutch did their thing and kept it, which is not their game at all. It seemed to me they played to face this particular opponent instead of trying at their own game. Not a bad tactic to make it to through the groups, but eyyyy
  13. So now we have FIFA looking into the first English goal with Crouch pulling Sancho's dreadlocks. for those who missed it -- and everyone did the first time around:
  14. The Swedish still with lots of problems in their front lines. Playing as much against themselves as against the clearly weaker Paraguayans (is that a word?), they only managed a 1:0 in the final 5 minutes. May they gain some strength from this win and poop those English some up their noses!
  15. if you were a stand up comedian you'd have a dead silent room now

  18. no. from delirious. trying to remember whether the Mr T "I heard you been making jokes about me" and Michael Jackson "I'm gonna moonwalk all over you!" sketches are also from this show.
  19. The Polish were not able to control the midfield, because the game was too fast for them. Even if they had wanted to possess the ball and sit it out, the Germans would have attacked all over the place, forcing the Polish to make mistakes. Germany showed some great spirit in this game, in spite of some difficult to understand misses. WTF? These Polish born Germans must have had a spook playing against them. Klose played like a pillow. Podolski anyone? Ballack moved like an old man (cf. Zidane). Schneider sucked as a right forward and yet everyone kept playing on him. The left side was of course only dangerous when little Lahm (man of the match) decided to step forward. Schweinsteiger was somewhere else entirely. Bringing in Odonkor and Neuville was a great move.
  20. some true masterpieces in that series.
  21. maybe the Ukrainian thought that was worth it? knowing the Spanish and their stallion mentality, I can understand why they thought it was a deep red offense!
  22. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LRBkQe_lwak
  23. hmm, Ukraine got a red card and Spain a penalty kick. Apparantly for fumbling a Spanish player's arse. Certainly an overreaction of the referee. So that's 3:0 then.
  24. just watched 15 minutes of this and a repeat of highlights from the first half. Yes, they are flying!
  25. he's trying to add up the amount of small change he has with him; just a minute ago he realised that the cup of coffee he's having will cost him just shy of one tenth of that 2CV that's nudging his car...
