  1. oo-la-la! 20 is indeed nice. Enjoy!!!!
  2. Total playing time for the two Gil Evans albums is just over 75 minutes. Would fit on one CD, but on the other hand, then there won't be any room for the copy protection... Have any of the recent Connoisseurs had copy protection? yes, plenty. Lee Morgan's Sonic Boom w/ the bonus session was also too long to add Copy Protection. The other discs in the same batch all had it. edit to add that copy protection has been limited to European discs. There have not been any "domestic" US copy protected conns AFAIK.
  3. Elisabeth Charles with the Zygmunt Wichary Orchestra - Jazz Carnival (Muza/Polskie Nagrania) 10" LP
  4. same old, same old...
  5. man, I need a re-take on this one. You are a rich brad who owns TWO dex sets and then you start complaining about a poor student not sticking to his part of some shady deal stealing some disk for you (to which you concurred)? Bad karma indeed. Go wash your keys with soap boy. This is not cool at all!
  6. coolest part being that you put the blame on Dex then and decided not to open the other set.
  7. Sinterklaas lives in Madrid. He has nothing much to do in summer and can ferry the stuff to Brazil and have a little vacation at the sea side there.
  8. so you got rid of the one you copied for Aric? at least we got all that hassle and shite about it...
  9. similar question with answer here. Dunno whether it'll suit your wants.
  10. He's lying. He opened it to make CDrs for Effron.
  11. dunno, maybe he thinks it's like biting your nails or eating your warts or something.
  12. Isn't Phoenix still #1 for that? I thought you moved? (I know, open goal and all that, but hey...)
  13. i heard he was going to puree it and suck it down with that freshly snipped umbilical straw. so now what if he has a boy? gotta deep fry that garneesh. deep fry it and it will taste like McDonald's. There's your answer. Use old, icky brown fat for that extra little yummy yumm.
  14. listen here
  15. Happy Birthday!! Although I know you already have one, here's a book
  16. you may also simply check the yellow pages of the towns you are going to visit. The online yellow pages let you view the hits on a city map so you can plan a nice walk through town with your beloved and act real surprised when you hit on yet another music store. Here (click) the results for Köln.
  17. no, it should actually download. What are you trying to download anyway? GTA.wmv?? GTA as in Grand Theft Auto? Check whether there are actual seeders for this torrent.
  18. get the coverart here (~1.8 MB)
  19. I agree with you re grammar and spelling, but shouldn't that be "themselves"? (them = plural) I'd agree with you, although Oxford University Press usage - a barometer for many academics here in the UK - has recently changed to allow 'they'/'them' as gender neutral singulars... Amazing, and they added "themself" as a nice and popular way to refer to "this person", I guess. Moreso, they were probably not using any capital letters either. Oxford University Press: go and eat earwax!

    Karel Velebny

I only have two on Supraphon. A 10" from 1960 that's very pretty but also a bit dull and an LP by Eva Olmerova (1969) backed by Velebný's group, which is pretty cool if you like Czech ladies singing engrish. I do.

    Prestige RVGs

I couldn't agree more. You've gotta try very hard to find fault with these new RVG's, but some people are going to find something they can complain about one way or another. for one, they smell like onions
  22. It wasn't? I still blame you!
  23. looser! heheh Yeah, I've always wanted to be "tighter" - I'll have to work on that! yours, Archie Bell blob
  24. looser! heheh
