Though Zoot Sims sound changed from his early period to his later period, I found his playing wonderful from start to finish. He is one of those jazz musicians who was so consistent in producing quality jazz, that it would be very difficult to select just a couple of favorite albums.

I read about this album in the book "Listening To Prestige". Eddie Lockjaw Davis is on this album. Found it on Apple Music.

P.J. Perry is a truly fine Canadian alto player.. A number of years ago , when visiting a friend in Canada ,we went to hear Perry at a local Toronto club. As I recall, Jimmy Knepper was in the quintet . The music was very good ,as is this album which has Kenny Barron on piano.
