For me the "world music" CD on Vol. 1 was the least interesting.

I've always liked the Stratford album.

Reknes is one I really like.

The Bradford / Gjerstad is from the tour that produced Silver Cornet. It is good. It was recorded in Philadelphia a day or two before Silver Cornet. No turntable at my house, so I guess I won't hear it.

Agree with Allen that Kamasi has little or nothing in common with Lehman or Iyer both of whom I much prefer.

Personally, have never really felt him too much, but objectively, yes, definitely. And definitely in terms of enabling writers. Guess you could say John LaPorta too, but at some point, history sorts it all out... George Russell: Jazz Workshop - maybe too far afield. McKusick is great on this.

O.K. - so I watched the entire 8:48. I'm sorry but I don't get the point.

Media mail I suppose. Don't think it's as reliable as 1st class & not that much cheaper for 1 CD.

If you live long enough everything (almost) gets reissued.

I haven't purchased a Scofield CD in years. Maybe this'll be the one.
