  10. Welcome mooseandsquirrel I spotted m&s's list a few days ago while googling for an OOP Vince Mendoza disc. We exchanged some emails - very nice guy. I suggested he post his list here as there are quite a few rarities and hard to find items - many of them Blue Notes. Manhattan Project, New York Stories, a couple of Tony Williams 80s Blue Notes, some Geri Allen, a few Hutchersons including Live at Montreaux, someof the Scofied BNs - you get the picture. Nice list and worth checking out
  11. Every once in a while I go off on some tangent. Just recently picked up a few Steve Winwood albums. A couple of Traffic as well. Other guilty pleasures - Gino Vannelli and Michael McDonald
  12. I agree with JT. The Top of the Senator's reputation is enough to make me check out artists with whom I'm not familiar. That McMurdo orchestra sounds pretty tempting too. Looks like you'll be in for a couple of nice nights out.
  13. Set number 759. This one's got a long way to go.
  14. National Geographic and The Hockey News.
  15. FWIW, I voted for Seattle. It sounds as if your roots are there, your family is there and with you planning to start a family of your own, it's a natural. Your wife seems to have more of a yearning to return to the PNW and that will only grow over time - especially after having children I'd guess. You've already demonstrated a willingness to move by interviewing for the new position. Coach Marv Levy of the Bills once said that once an athlete starts thinking about retiring, he might as well hang 'em up because his attitude about the game changes. I think that might apply to you as it relates to your current position and the fact that you've interviewed and are considering a new one. You're more than half way there. It sounds like things will never be more favorably aligned for a move.
  16. Herman set arrived today. Only had a chance to listen to disc one. Real nice.
  17. Set number 3553 arrived today.
  18. Wenn ist das Nunstruck git und Slotermeyer? Ja!... Beiherhund das Oder die Flipperwaldt gersput!
  19. I wonder if harbopjazz knows about the previous Chuck Nessa is an asshole and a jerk thread yet? or was that on BN?
  20. Damn. I had hoped no one noticed. I was going back to the old threads and "borrowing" previously posted information and posting it as my own.
  21. Thank you Mrs. Dusk
  22. The Larry Young is among my very favorite Mosaic sets. This is one of the few sets that I make an effort to listen to from one end to the other. I love the way the intensity and creativity build throughout the set and how the music evolves and takes shape with each succeeding album. I'm a big fan of the second half of this set which I know has not drawn rave reviews. Dare I say it's my favorite Mosaic??? There are many many great ones and sometimes favorites change based on mood etc, but if someone had a gun to my head.......
  23. Rarely venture into AOTW or Blindfold test. With the election coming up and the whole Iraq thing goin' on I find myself hitting the political forum often. I don't post there and don't read much of the exchanges , but I like many of the links that are posted there. Musician, Vinyl, and Live are infrequent, unless something catches my eye when I scan the main board.
  24. 1. Billie Holiday - Columbia 2. Lester Young - Verve 3. Parker - Dial/Savoy
