In the October 17, 1939 session, Cab Calloway´s orchestra (with Gillespie and Bauza) recorded this bolero, "Vuelva". There´s a percussionist on that particular track.
Lord´s entry doesn´t mention any percussionist (Cozy Cole´s on drums):
