  15. First listening and all I can say is woooow!!!!! This is a very enjoyable selection, Chris. Thanks a lot! Haven´t got time to make a track by track analysis now, but here´s some guesses: Track 3: This is "I´m beginning to see the light" from this Jazztone disc, reissued by FSR: http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&t...10:uhuj6j8771t0 Track 7 Obviously, "Solitude" (with quotes from "Tenderly"). Wild guess... Jessica Williams? Track 10 Von Freeman, his tone and phrasing is unmistakeable Track 11 Easy one. Track 1 from this disc: http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=10:sa8gtq9zbu46 Track 13 "More than you know". Clarinetist should be clear, but... is he? Could it be track 6 from: http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=10:1sdsa9rgq238 But... where´s Billy Bauer? Track 14 "How high the moon". Track 8 from here:? http://www.cduniverse.com/search/xx/music/...y+1944-1947.htm Track 15 Errol Garner More to come!
  16. Disc received today. Thanks!
  17. In my book, the original version, with those wonderful wordless vocals by Adelaide Hall, has never been surpased.
  18. I bought the complete collection when it first came out, years ago. Not all the discs were by artists I was interested in (at least at that moment), but I couldn´t resist picking them all. If anyone needs details on any particular volume, just let me know.
  19. Yes, Lon. These 1938 broadcasts: http://www.organissimo.org/forum/index.php...&hl=cotton+club I have them in an awfully sounding edition in the rip-off label Galaxy. Great music that deserves to be properly remastered and presented!
  20. Thanks, Mike. It´s a pricey set that has been on my wish list for a long time...
  21. That´s what I was thinking, John, but was not sure.
  22. Same guy does the same routine for Eddie Costa´s "House of the Blue Lights"
