  1. I totally agree, Chuck. Wish he had recorded much more piano solo. Winning a wonderful bandleader, we lost a great solo pianist.
  2. While doing a small research on discs by non-Spanish jazz musicians recorded on Madrid, I discovered these 1979 recordings by Bill Evans´ trio with Marc Johnson and Joe LaBarbera at the now defunct Balboa Jazz Club, that I had not previously heard about: * Bill Evans Trio Live at Balboa Jazz Club, Vol. 1-5 [ivory (Portugal)] ILP 3000/01/02/03/04 To my knowledge, only part of that LP material (volumes 1, 2 and 3, from December 12, 1979) has been reissued on CD as: * Bill Evans Trio Live at Balboa Jazz Club, Vol. 1-2 [Jazz Lab (Swt)] JLCD 4/5 How good is this stuff? Is it available anywhere? Thanks in advance, Agustín
  3. Current auction for this set, going for $256.00: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...4733445363&rd=1 (no connection with seller, of course)

He also plays in a few tracks on the Jaki Byard disc.
  19. Flurin: I´ve followed the link: it requires more or less the same information you need to provide when you open a new Paypal account, but regarding credit card information: -it requires not only the Verification Number (as Paypal does) but also your Card PIN Number!!! -it also requires your Bank Name, Bank Telephone Number, Routing Number (something that appears on your checks) and Bank Account Number !!!!!!!! This is phishing, definitely. Not sure if there´s a way to report Paypal what´s going on with this. As for my bank, they have inserted a big message on the main page of their website, stating that THEY DON´T REQUIRE CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION VIA E-MAIL. When Paypal gets aware of this affair, they should do something similar. FUCK PHISHING!!!!!
  20. Phishing? I´ve received a lot of those damned messages from many "supposedly" banks: I´ve never had any account in any of them. I recently read an interesting report written by Hispasec on phishing in Spanish banks: in most of the cases, the design of the web helps this kind of hoax practices FUCK PHISHING!!!

I recently bought three Jazz French Productions titles on ebay from producer Alain Dupuy-Raufaste: Andrew Hill - Les Trinitaires (JFP002) Jaki Byard - July in Paris (JFP003) Tapscott/Simmons - Among friends (JFP004) and was very impressed by the product, not only for the quality of the music, but also for the packaging, the liner notes, the photos... I´ve tried to do some research, but their website http://www.jazzfriends.com/ doesn´t work anymore. Any comments on this label? brownie? Anyone got a complete list of their releases? Thanks in advance!!!
  22. I bought the Centennial Edition a year and a half ago (from a member of this board, used but in like-new condition) for about 170-180 €. $213 it´s definitely a very good price!!!
  23. Absolute zero for me.
  24. ¡FELIZ CUMPLEAÑOS, JIM!
