Did a quick search on Telarc box sets in Amazon -- there's a few at that $6.99 price -- I picked up the Oscar Peterson live at the Blue Note.

I really liked Chaos and Creation -- to the point where I think it is his best work in 30 years.

I thought it was mentioned in the email that the 2nd lp is included. I finally found the first this spring, but it will be nice to have everything in one box.

You should check out the Criterion site re: the Kurosawa box. I'm not certain, but the Seven Samurai will be compressed on 1 disc. Not certain if there are any bonus reatures (like commentaries) on any of them. A nice set to check out is the Nikkatsu Noir Eclipse set. Late 50's to late 60's "nor" ish style Japanese film. Very entertaining!

Stieg Larsson's "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo." Totally misleading title, nice ideas, some good characters, awful plot and piss poor writing. An excellent mindless summer read or a cure for reader's block.

The Schmidt and the Blomstedts are considered the best of the bunch. I prefer the Regis cds as I feel the performances are a bit stronger.

Berkshire music has this wonderful 3 cd set of Carl Nielsen symphonies, conducted by Ole Schmidt on Regis for $11.97. Highly recommended and at a good price!

Found the Clark Terry/Tubby Hayes New York Sessions on Columbia cd for $5. Long out of print.......
