  1. This place is top-notch.
  2. Or else Radiohead. And maybe Nick Drake.
  3. How fitting that this thread got bumped. I rambled on about one song on Medulla on my blog last night. Love that album more and more...
  4. I, too, am troubled at the lack of readily available Tony Scott "jazz" sides. The RCA LPs go for quite a bit. I was able to find a copy of "Both Sides" for five quid in Edinburgh, tho. I should think that the rats at Lonehill/Definitive would be putting the RCA & Decca stuff out. They put out some, but I want more! Again, like the Tal Farlow set they put out, I would be willing to cross the line and buy grey market. Only if it is unavailable elsewhere, however.
  5. Salangadou...
  6. AND on i-Tunes.

  11. This is a troubling thought that I have grappled with not just with the musical arts, but in other arts as well. The older I get the closer I end up sticking to aesthetics, be they aural or visual.
  12. Smells a bit like the "I am more punk than you" argument.
  13. Spinning Today: [ edited out ]
  14. We are just lucky, I guess.
  15. I stand by my vote. There is just something about the flavor and texture of soft serve frozen yogurt that I can't get enough of. Vanilla, especially. That, and the somewhat chemical taste of Diet Coke.
  16. I am in the minority here...
  17. or small balls of damp newspaper-paper newspaper-paper-paper
  18. Cool. Have been staying away from it a bit for a while myself.
  19. I'm NOT a fan of the E-Bay thing... I suspect I'm gonna get slammed for this... and I know you didn't ask my opinion... but why not DONATE them to a Public Library or a Community Arts non-profit... Write it off your taxes and some (likely) low-income follks (particularly kids) will have free access to the music??? I don't expect I will EVER sell any of my mosaics but that's what I'd do... Hope I didn't offend....
  20. Cuozzo arrived safely. Just sent a PM on the KB!
  21. The bit rates are variable [VBR] unless otherwise noted with the 128 disclaimer. "With variable bit rate MP3s, the encoder automatically detects which bit rate is most apropriate for the sound being encoded, live. This means that when there is little sound to be heard, the encoder encodes the MP3 with a low bit rate (as low as 16 kbps or less), but when there is very complex sound to be heard, the encoder uses a much higher bit rate (up to 320 kbps) to attain better sound reproduction." source
  22. Could it be a MSP board hang?
  23. It is the "Dancing in Your Head: Ornette at 75" festival. 3 days long! One day of Ornette;'s music as interpreted by others, a second evening featuring The Ornette Coleman Quartet [feat, Denardo on drums, and Greg Cohen, and Tony Falanga on basses. A third marathon session the next day will feature other artists again interpreting Ornette's music. 24. I was wrong one other time.
