That Joe Morris album features his acoustic guitar playing. I was surprised at how well his language translated to the non-electric guitar. I downloaded a few cuts and now I think I will buy the darned thing! Having not heard Morris' playing in a while, it sounded new again.

Whenever I make a massive order thru the regular BMG website, I would often get notice that everything was backordered, and then it would all ship without problem. The shipping notification would often come a day before the items would arrive.

That was a one-sided 12 inch LP, if I remember right! It was! And there was more music on that one-sided 19-minute LP than on many of the 77 or 79-minute CDs that come out thesedays! Indeed!

For something contemporary, I see that Damo has recorded a double set with Cul de Sac that seems interesting. Another contemporary one to look up is Dalek vs Faust. They got together [a Detroit hip hop trio and a German Kraut-Rock band--it was bound to happen ] and did this heavy album Derbe Respect, Alder. Nice. But you gotta be into hip hop at least a little to dig the ride.

WD45, Try again. I just cancelled my subscription and rejoined, using the link provided previously in this discussion, and am now getting the 4.99 deal. Unbelievable. Ordered the Dylan SACD box and the 'Seven Steps to Heaven' box for $114.77. I have placed two prior orders with YourMusic.com with no problems whatsoever. If they can manage to ship these boxes at this price, I'll be floored... This time, it worked! Woo!

Some of the items on archive.org sound quite good. I have listened to many of the 1968 vintage shows. A couple are crap, but overall, the sound is solid. Especially for 1968. The one Dick's Picks that piqued my interest was the Tahoe show he mentions in the interview. Anyone have it?
