I really like some of Sun Ra's poetry, though I haven't read any in years. I'll have to dig some out, and post a couple of my favorites here, in this thread.

Just got this one relatively recently (for the very first time), and I'm lovin' it. Great date. Seems a touch "harmalodic" to my ears (just a tiny bit). Also has some pre-"M-BASE" things goin' on here and there too (at least on the title track). Very cool date!!! B)

So, back to the original thread topic... Is there any Joe on record (before January 1st, 1970), that isn't top-drawer??? (In terms of Joe's playing.)

Has this ever come out in Europe?? - meaning the new issue, with the bonus tracks??? Just wondering... -- Rooster T. Is this available everywhere on the planet now??? Did Blue Mitchell ever play on any dates that were the least bit "progressive"??? (I can't think of any, offhand.) I'm sure he would have been an odd guy to have on a Hill date, but perhaps on the right kind of Hill date - Blue might have turned in some interesting results.

Catesta, do take a chance with Hill's most recent Conn, "Passing Ships" - the one that sat in the vaults until just this October. It's a very "inside" date, for Hill, with lots of things for everyone to like. (And if you buy it, and don't like it, I'm sure there'll be people here who'll trade you something for it.)

I'm very sorry to hear about your cat, BERIGAN. My wife and I adopted two wonderful adult cats back in February. I'm sure we'll both be very sad if/when something ever happens to them.

Just wanted to preserve a copy of AfricaBrass's current Avatar, in this thread - of course. I'm sure he won't keep it forever, and it needs to be saved for future generations...
