  1. I believe "processed" is no guarantee of the item's availability. 2 to 4 weeks items are a lottery.
  2. My guess is "processing" means they are waiting for a confirmation from their distributor. "Processed" means waiting for item's arrival after confirmation. Then there is "in stock" meaning your particular copy of this item has arrived.
  3. Strange. In my experience they contact you and give you the opportunity to cancel an item if it is not available after 9 days or so. They even do this for orders payed for with PayPal (normally no cancellation or regrouping allowed after completion). I keep orders small (one or two items) in order to avoid customs.
  4. In the Netherlands, three radical imams recently had their visa's rescinded. They were going to speak at a benefit, not preach in a mosque as far as I'm aware. If next year they plan to come over again as the Great Oud Trio, should we let them enter?
  5. Bill, if Atzmon's sister shares his views he can go ahead and fuck her for all I care. I won't listen to him.
  6. I didn't really know anything about Atzmon before this cancellation. Having just read an interview with the man where he describes the death marches at the end of WWII as humane and claims Jews went on these marches voluntarily to avoid being captured by the Russians, I'm surprised at the support he has garnered so far in this thread. Re death marches, try this: link
  7. Yes, brand new never heard before transfers, though some like Mode For Joe & Search For The New Land have been used for recent HD Tracks releases.
  8. A waste of money and effort. At one point I felt like reading some non-fiction, so I put it away for a day or two. This is normal for me. When I picked Inherent Vice up again the book had lost its hold on me. It feels like this could have happened anywhere in its 400 or so pages.
  9. What's surreal about it? That's the view from my seafaring yacht.
  10. In the media vinyl fetishists get too much attention. That, and too many ignorant people just assume that vinyl is by default better than digital. I have nothing against vinyl collectors like yourselves. I know I was glad to be rid of vinyl once I heard the clean clear sound of CDs in the late 80s. Agreed that it's in the mastering.
  11. So, you prefer to pay large sums of money, beyond some flowers. Noted.
  12. Same here. Still waiting for Amazing Bud Powell Vol. 2, Jazz Messengers at Cafe Bohemia Vol.2, Ornette Coleman Golden Circle Vol.2, and a second disc of Rollins' A Night at the Village Vanguard, but I haven't given up hope.
  13. fluitconcert Fluiten means to whistle in Dutch ... Not but
  14. For Coltrane, I'd say the original 80s Atlantic CDs were better than any subsequent release save the ORG Music hybrid SACD of My Favorite Things (Bernie Grundman), but the Coleman and Mingus sets are must own. The Coltrane set (Heavyweight Champion) supposedly also has some issue with missing seconds of music at the start of certain tracks.
  15. The original set's booklet was also 70 pages. Great set.
  16. The legit Paris, especially, and also Zurich releases are recommended for the performances and sound quality. The Amsterdam set is not that essential if you want to hear Coltrane on fire and sound is poorer by comparison. Bootleg releases from other dates from the tour are bound to be of inferior sound quality. Radio broadcasts from decades ago. All of those can be easily found on Dimeadozen (no official releases allowed there). For example, the material from 9 March, 1960 Scheveningen (The Hague) on the All of You: The Last Tour set is probably of the same poor quality as on Dimeadozen. Similar for the material from West Germany. It might well be some of the material was not even properly speed corrected where needed.
  17. Look at the second picture on amazon. It's not from Paris.
  18. Other legit releases: Stockholm on Dragon Previous legit release of the Paris concerts. Zurich Amsterdam. Best saved for last. Not as good as the track So What from Scheveningen (near The Hague) from the same night that was included on the Kind Of Blue 50th anniversary Legacy edition.
  19. It seems the set you mentioned does not contain material from Paris 1960 (March, October).
  20. My guess is that the set you mentioned is a bootleg (Acrobat Music). This release on Fremaux might be legit, however. Fremaux Amazon.fr Past legit releases of the Paris material sound fine, like the Stockholm set on Dragon.
  21. How does the Japanese remaster compare to the Jazz on Disques Vogue box?
  22. His Keepnews Collection liner notes could be labeled Re: Persons Who Knew ME.
