Gustavo Tavares (cello) & Nelson Faria (guitar) - Na Esquina de Mestre Mignone (TF music) 10 strings, two instruments, one bowed, the other plucked, are an enchanting pairing in chamber music. Repertoire is everything but large and recordings are rare.This one, covering Brazilian compositions,, is a beaut. Both musicians, masters of their instrument, play beautifully together. And the set is ravishing.

Just got informed that one of the most legendary European homes of jazz has shut down because of Covid-19. Jazzhus Montmartre in Copenhagen was a cosy jazz venue hosting legendary concerts by Dexter Gordon, Stan Getz and Chet Baker among others.
