  1. Mysteries and jazz: Drummer and author Bill Moody died in January. Read his novel "Looking for Chet Baker" about the last days of Mr B in Amsterdam. . Excellent book that I can highly recommend. RIP, Bill Moody http://billmoodyjazz.com/

  5. Brave man, great artist in troubled times and beyond. "I ve always liked to listen to his "Rex Casino". The above pictured book, Coco´s moving account of his astonishing life, is a stunning read and thus highly recommended to everybody interested in history, jazz, Berlin, strength of man and of course Coco himself. RIP, Coco Schumann

  7. Maybe for some obscure, but it´s always worthwhile diggin up some unknown masterly music. IMHO this one, recorded fifteen years ago, surely is a winner; Wilfred Josephs - Works for clarinet (Metier) - Complete beauty but it is the Clarinet Quintet that´s the real stunner - one of the most precious written for this format.
