  1. Lon-A distant relative-really!!!! Is it true his last words were "Where did all those fucking Indians come from?" I agree with you that his ethics were better than those of the record companies.
  2. In comparison the industry makes Custer look like a genius.
  3. I beated my step son on his playground. I bought the Mobile Fidelity LP of Nirvana's Nevermind (at times), recently we had a A/B comparison with his iPod hooked at my tube pre amp. It was a no contest The only problem is that when I am not at home sometimes he play my Led Zeppelin's records for his friends. I suspect for impressing girls. We had a big and confortable sofa in front of the loudspeakers. Actually I don't know what counts more, Jimmy Page or the sofa? For the girls it was probably a tie between Page and the sofa.
  4. Some of us are still like that! That's the kind of mindset that contributes to radio stations with extremely short playlists.
  5. Yeah. That too.
  6. MG congrats on winning the corn flakes.Winning the lottery pales by comprison!!!! Dunno 'bout that. I'll let you know when my wife's number comes up Feeling even better today; awaiting the postman with the last batch of the year! MG Party on Bro!!!!! You sound like the office party's done you a bit of good. (First one I went to - I was 16 - I got very drunk and threw up everywhere. But I managed to kiss a very sexy married lady I'd lusted over.) MG We've had nearly similar experiences. Except in my case kissing the married lady would've been a fireable offense.
  7. It was a great party with lots of food in the dangerous kitchen and the 20 trivia questions were really tough this year! Like this one: According to Frank, whose demands were the equivalent of treating dandruff by decapitation? ... That was a party worth attending. You lucky dog!!!

  9. It's in the 20s here and more snow is forecasted for the weekend.
  10. Good luck on all fronts. As for myself I'd like to take more time off and enjoy life more.
  11. Ma Nature cut Denver a break the other night with the blizzard. That was about the only way Denver could avoid being victim number 16 for Phoenix. Next time the Suns see Denver they'll probably have both Iverson and Melo but I still like the Suns chances in the season series because Phoenix plays as a team and AI thinks he is the team.

  13. When I got officially divorced it was three weeks before Christmas and as an extra added bonus I was out of work and at the absolute bottom and I thought that I would permanently despise Christmas. One year later I was in my eighth month at another job and things were looking better holidaywise and in general. Considering what you're going through your'e doing better than I was at the time.Keep it up.
  14. Staff Christmas party tonight. That always helps.
  15. Nah, they just smell funny. I was tempted to go that route but I decided to play it straight. Besides I didn't have the picture.
  16. At the end of the year things generally grind to a halt at the labels. About three or four months into 2007 we should see what's shaking.
  17. I was reading about that Claude. It seems like things at the vault might grind to a halt for awhile.
  18. That's just it. The Nuggets do have some guys that can score but will Iverson actually distribute it like a point guard is supposed to do.
  19. I was going to say Vickers but I just wasn't sure. Agree eith you about the hits being the lesser material. It was that way on the first album too. There were some talented dudes in that group. Thanks for posting this.
  20. Bastard started pushing me off the bridge... Jazzmoose,Jazzmoose.
  21. I can't see any good coming out of this.
  22. Our backlogs would make an interesting string some time. I have a huge one due to a couple of collections I bought. I feel your pain. I didn't say I could afford them. I just said I bought them. Hence the huge trade/sale list. Bummer man. I've been in that boat so I can relate.Seriously.

  24. RIP to Denny Payton. However he wasn't the only sax player in the British Invasion. One of the guys in the early edition of Manfred Mann(can't remember the name-getting old myself)also played sax. On the first Manfred Mann album-the one with" Do Wah Diddy"-they recorded "Sack O Woe" and really that's how I first got introduced to jazz.
