  1. Great article: http://www.businessweek.com/magazine/conte...82042959954.htm You go, girl!
  2. Everyone is doing well. So far, little Stella seems to be the antithesis to Zora, which is funny since Zora literally means "dawn" in Greek and Stella of course means "star". Stella loves to sleep, all the time. Zora, ever since she was born, barely sleeps. Some friends and family of ours have kids that go to bed at 7pm and don't wake up until 8am. Zora is up every morning at 6:30am, even if she doesn't get to bed until 9pm (and rarely does that happen... she hates going to bed). Anyway, Stella's sleep/awake cycle is still off. She likes to be awake at night. Her hips are fine, though. We had the ultrasound and everything is normal.
  3. Dude.... you're old. Huhhuhuhuhuhuhhhh. Happy Birthday!
  4. Happy Birthday, Broseph!

  5. First step: Put the rebate check in your savings account!
  6. But Paul, what would I have left to annoy you with?
  7. I've never liked 'Melo or his attitude. There's always been a lot of speculating around Detroit concerning what would've happened had they drafted him instead of Darko, but I am glad they didn't. He's his own worst enemy and thinks he's better than he is.
  8. She has to say it because I bought her a Macbook for her birthday.
  9. I'm always amazed that when a team plays badly - especially in the playoffs - that the coach gets the blame. Coaching may have something to do with it - making adjustments against a team seen every second or third night in a series - but the players are the ones who are on the court, and the ones who have to do it. If Wallace and McDyess play badly, they should bear the brunt of the responsibility, not the coach. Because Flip obviously has no control over these guys. If a player is playing badly you either pull him or you get him to play better somehow, some way. I see that Larry Brown is free again.
  10. It's just silly. If the Pistons lose this series, I can't see how Saunders keeps his job. The guy obviously can't motivate his players or make in-game adjustments.
  11. I have a new one that I'm going to use for an organissimo song one of these days: Mustard Time Anyone who's ever had a newborn knows what I'm talking about!
  12. Show me how to get a Hammond organ and Leslie on the back of that bad boy, and I'm there.
  13. Beyond that, we had two barflys and two cracks heads in attendance. Needless to say, this was the first and last gig we will ever play in Trenton New Jersey. Ha! Been there, bro! Did you at least score some good rock?
  14. $3.69 a gallon in Lansing today. It makes the prospect of going to Grand Rapids tomorrow to play a gig for $120 kinda stupid.
  15. Thanks everybody, and thank you Patricia. I've already found myself getting a bit impatient with Zora and I have to remind myself that this is as stressful for her as it is for me and Alison. Zora giving herself a haircut might be a symptom of that! We have decided on a name: Stella Josephine Alfredson It appears she has hip dysplasia in both hips. It runs in the family; Alison's eldest sister had it but back then they went straight into surgery. These days they will most likely just put her in a Pavlik Harness for a few weeks. I feel much better talking to GregN because his daughter had the same thing and she is 10 now and just fine. Hopefully momma and baby will be home today!
  16. Oh, by the way, Zora gave herself a haircut this morning at grandma's. That's why her bangs are basically gone. She got right down to the scalp, with kids' scissors.
  17. I had to play last night, so I didn't get to the hospital today until about 11:30am. Just got back... taking Zora off my poor mother-in-law's hands (Zora is pretty excited and is acting out already). So we're back home, chilling for a bit. The doctors seem to think that Alison and the new little one can come home tomorrow (hopefully!) Here's a couple more pics.
  18. I'm laying it on the table. 2008 Finals will be Lakers vs. Detroit (redux) Detroit in 6
