  1. I would endorse them! I'm not one to advertise for people (I don't wear logos on my clothing or have stickers on my vehicle) and I was skeptical of the razor at first. I bought one because they were on sale at my local grocery and I thought what the hell... I'm never switching back to my old Mach3.
  2. Tom, Your mom might be waiting to be let go. My mom was in a coma for a week. The doctors said she was braindead. On Thanksgiving Day, 1997, my father, my eldest sister, me, and my youngest sister all went into her room with her father and brother and my dad took her hand. And even though the doctors said she couldn't hear us, that she wasn't there, that she was already gone... my dad told her it was ok for her to go. He told her we would all be ok and she could go. She cried a single tear and then she died. She was just waiting for us to let her know it was ok to go on to the next stage. If you all have truly made your peace (and it sounds like you have) you might want to take your father and let your mom know that it's ok... I'm with you, man... it's hard. It will always be hard.
  3. I'm telling you, all you guys complaining about cuts from manual shavers or electric for that matter... switch to the Schtick Quattro!! I used a Mach3 for years and years and I always cut my face. I always cut my face with any razor I've ever used. At least one little nick somewhere. Always. Without fail. I've owned the Quattro for a few months now and have not cut my face ONCE. Not even a pinprick. It's an amazing razor. Yes the blades are highway robbery, but the lack of blood loss alone is worth it.
  4. Server was down. Sorry again for the delay. Not related to the previous problems. Let's cross our fingers and hope that the techno gremlins don't strike again for awhile!
  5. At least yours says Michigan!
  6. It looks like www.nessa.com expires in June of this year. That aforementioned SnapDragon service is $69 and there's no guarantee you'll get the domain name. Forget about it! Just keep watching via whois.com and you might be able to snatch it youself.
  7. By the way... these small problems aside, the company I'm using to host this site is very good, friendly, good customer service, and low prices. I think Network Solutions charges something like $35 to register a domain name. The Chain (my hosting company) charges $15.
  8. You can back-order it. If she fails to renew it you can snatch it up. Go to Network Solutions to get details.
  9. I'm not sure but I think some people might've been able to get on because their computer or their browser stores the IP address along with the domain name instead of relying on the domain name server to supply the IP address. Maybe. I'm not sure. As far as people snatching up expired names... it used to be a problem but now most places give you up to 30 days after the expiration date to renew before they release the domain into the public. By that time you should notice something is wrong (like we did today). This site is setup to be automatically renewed but I guess my server guy changed banks and thus credit cards and forgot to update the information with the DNS people. We just happened to be the first website on his servers that expired this year!
  10. My initial idea of why the site wasn't working was true... the domain name expired and had not been reset. All should be fine now. I apologize for the inconvinience.
  11. My server guy is on the case. I'm talking to him via AOL Instant Messenger. He sees the problem, now he's just trying to fix it.
  12. Maybe this is new, maybe not. I haven't seen anything like this before. I got an email today of which the title is: "RE: Question for seller -- Item #280760251" As anyone who has used Ebay and used the "Ask Seller A Question" function can attest, this is the standard title for an email from a seller if you've asked them a question. I didn't remember asking a question of a seller in weeks. So I opened the email up. And this is what it said: Now I know I didn't ask any questions about a Verizon Mobile Office Kit. I don't have a Verizon cell phone. So I thought maybe my wife used my account. But then I realized it was talking about shipping to Nevada or Virginia. We live in Michigan. Before clicking on the link, I looked at the item number and realized is was only 9 digits. Ebay has been in the ten digit numbers for quite some time. Hovering my mouse over the link revealed the true address of the link (not the one that is displayed) which is: http://82.146.50.41/ws/eBayISAPI.dll/ViewI...gory=43045.html Notice the non-ebay IP address in the front. So thankfully I didn't click on it. Scam scam scam! Probably want you to enter your ebay name and password. Tricky!!!
  13. I saw a TV commercial for this record... you know the ones... they show the artist performing and throw all these hyperboles out about the music and then the blue screen comes on with the phone number and website and snail-mail address so you can order the CD for only $18.99 plus $6.00 S/H (rush delivery available!! CALL NOW!) It was weird.
  14. It's not a backup system, it's simply ghosting, or linking to everything here. But what happened at AAJ will not happen here because besides the server backing things up, I back this forum up manually to my home computer every Sunday.
  15. No, I registered it just for kicks and it's set up to ghost this address.
  16. Well, according to whois.com my domain doesn't expire until Jan. 31, 2005, so there goes that idea. On www.dnsreport.com, organissimo.org doesn't exist (so they say) but organissimo.net is there, albeit with problems. Very strange. I'm trying to track down my server guy.
  17. Are people still having problems? I posted over the AAJ thread about my initial idea why this happened. I think my domain name expired. This is about the time of year that I first registered the organissimo.org domain about three years ago. It is set to automatically renew itself, but perhaps that took a little time. Randy says all emails to my organissimo accounts were being bounced back too. A big thank you to everyone who tried to contact me during this... I was asleep. I went to bed at 6am. Mr. Meloy even called me from London!!
  18. I hope she pulls through, Tom. I lost my mom in 1997 to cancer and it was a huge blow to the entire family. You have a great support group here should you need it.
  19. I assure you they were not.
  20. What's interesting is this Chaotikmind fellow, or someone from the same computer, has created account here before under the pseudonyms, "soulsinger41" (who never posted) and PopLyfe81 (what's with this person? Can't they spell?) who did post a confusing post about a Prince DVD here. I doubt we'll see Chaotikmind again. In a couple months he/she might be doing a google search for music forums to spam and see us again and of course completely forget that he/she has been here before. Then we'll get MuzikLuvR posting about the new P Diddy single or something. And after doing a google search myself, I found this interesting thread from our friend PopLyfe81. It's about the Prince DVD... this time posted on a classic car enthusiast website. And then there's this one, which is actually on a music related site. Maybe this is someone who works for one of those 21st century ad places out of NY. I saw a report about them. The spin is to advertise to people without them thinking that they are being advertised to (he/she is failing miserably in this regard, but it might be the intent.) For instance, in the report I saw, an ad company would place a guy/gal in an internet coffee shop and he/she would be playing a computer game with some fancy glove/joystick thing. They would just sit there and play. They would not approach anyone. However, if someone approached them and asked, "Hey what is that?" they would start to tell them how cool it is and "do you want to try it?" and act like it was just something they happened to buy. Anyway... I just heard this great new band called Something Corporate and THEY ROCK, DUDE!!!!
  21. Ah that's what we want to teach our young people. Don't like the subject? Make a law that says you can't say the word. Orwell would be so proud.
  22. Where's Soul Stream when we need him!?
  23. By the way, that's a really stupid name for a band. Something Coroporate. Even "Something Incorporated" would be better, albeit rather 70s sounding.
  24. Correction, if MTV wrote an article about them, they must truely be poets and visionaries of the genre!!!
  25. Welcome, John. Stick around and join the fun!
