  1. That's not right. No fighting in the taxi rank outside the Tut'n'Shive.
  2. Explain this, please. Hi John (and everyone). Music/albums or songs will still remain in the iTunes program even if you remove them from your computers storage folder to which the CDs are copied to. When I'm happy with a batch of uploads, I will check if all the info is correct (the CDDB is not infallible when it comes to making cock-ups and likewise the info stored on box-sets for eample, can be incoherent sometimes, you may find this through experience when you start your daily uploads!) if this is all correct and the mp3 hasn't any errors on playback, I then delete the subfolder containing that album from my computer. Providing the said tunes remain 'checked' or ticked in the iTunes list, they will not be removed from your iPod next time you plug it in for an update. If there are tunes I want to take off the iPod, then I un'check' them from the iTunes list and delete them from the computers folder to prevent my hard-drive becoming too full. Initially, I was under the impression that the iPod mirrored anything that was left on your hard drive each time you connected it. This isn't so. Hope this helps. Sorry I am not more succinct. Cherry Mistmus to all.
  3. Sorry to hijack your thread but this hilarious reading. Often, one hand'll hunt for just that right note, while the other hand fools around. possibly with the other bass player?
  4. Oh dear me. Just found out where that came from too. I expected better to be honest.
  5. have one for me.....
  6. N.E.R.D --- Fly or Die.
  7. Sorry. Had to be done. Besides it's the only Dallas I ever knew.
  8. O/T Sidewinder, what's your new avatar?
  9. I like Christmas but have yet to hear any music associated with it that really warms my heart. However, I also enjoy New Year and New Year's Resolution from this album is a brilliant tune. Sorry for being the kiljoy
  10. Wow Scott, you obviously think the same way as me. I was just about to post that Xmas begins with arriving back from Tesco and opening the yuletide bottle of Advocaat... Which is precisely what I did last Monday evening. This was followed by the thoroughly modern phenomena of ordering gifts online. This is one of the thing I chose (at a bargain price, I must add)
  11. The reverse side; isn't that the one you put your coffee cup on? :coweringbehindsandbagsmilie:
  12. FWIW, and sorry to be a pedant but this was the 'Grasses first disc and what a debut. Kinks, Faces, Who and Stones in one spotty teenage bong . I remember the day it came out, I was out training with a younger team-mate and he would not stop humming 'Caught By The Fuzz'; which is, in English parlance, the Police. I saw them live once and whata sound. The bass was very much like Entwhistle's backward peddling sound. And Rooster I very much recommend the Muse album 'Origin Of Symmetry'; a riot from start to finish. The best of them all in my opinion. Again, a blast live.
  13. Slightly off-topic, but did anyone see his appearance on Room 101? He did, as hinted, come across as a caring, funny and unpretentious person. Heart-warming.
  14. I checked this out only to find that I like it 'up the arse' and that I'm a butt-munch. And you think you know yourself.
  15. No. From what I've read (somewhere, can't remember), the sequence in which the albums first appeared on the shelves was slightly different from their recording order. Apparently, critics and punters were talking about the development from one album to the next but were confounded when the real chronology was revealed. Wish I knew more, maybe that Rhino box may help clarify things BTW, still haven't had chance to listen again.
  16. This was my first purchase of those 'classic' quartet dates; still not sure of the chronological details though --- wasn't there some confusion regarding recording sequence. and I love this album. Good choice although I thought it would be on everyones 'loved' list. Will listen to it tonight and try and post something soon afterwards, contructive, I hope.
  17. Camper van Gogh? Maybe not but great fun and v. time consuming Hope it hasn't been done before.
  18. I didn't buy anything but my wife and I searched for 'Plugged Nickel' box last night. Eventually she ordered it, as a Christmas pressie, for me from Amazon.co.uk for an amazing 57 squid. Woo -Hoo. Who said romance was dead eh?
  19. Again thanks fellas. Tides us over til the next album arrives. Actually, we just had broadband activated this weekend so it'll be a piece of cake getting the tunes this year. Cheers for now, Tony.
  20. And rightly so, especially given the wealth that Mason & Co have accumulated. Has anyone seen his car collection? Wow.
  21. Where's Couw when you need him?
  22. Well, I was wanting to see Rivers tonight in Leeds but I am now obliged to go to a car club night out next week, also in Leeds. Can't afford the two. Bu99er, too many hobbies.
