  1. When you scroll down slowly it looks like there is some sort of phallic thing in her hand, but it is the mannequin's arm!!!!
  2. "It's A Wonderful Life" man was Donna Reed a fox!!!! Oh yes! Greg, if You haven't seen it, and can stand another movie after so many, Bishop's Wife is on after Holiday Inn.... and for those who have the Fox Movie Channel, they are going to Run Miracle on 34th Street, the TV Hour of Stars version at 10 pm, and then 1 AM EST....
  3. Ah yes! Again, just the original version! Forgot a Christmas Story as well, though probably won't get to see it this year... Another one they should show at the holidays, Remember the Night with Fred MacMurray, and Barbara Stanwyck http://www.allmovie.com/cg/avg.dll?p=avg&sql=1:107576
  4. board Christmas eve! I thought that I had seen a similar thread, but I guess I imagined it....just listened to the Mitch Miller cd, which was an LP Mom has always played, and Dad has always hated! I don't know that I would want to play it, if I hadn't grown up listing to it, but brings back childhood memories for sure! Other that , not any specific Christmas cds, but some nice Compilations cds from Time/life As for films, A Christmas Carol of course, each version seems to have something to offer, the 1938 version with Reginald Owen, the 1951 version with Alistair Sims(The one most people seem to like best) and the George C. Scott Version really is quite good, and the longest one of them all. Miracle on 34th Street, the Original 1947 edition , what a perfect cast! Just like the other classic X-masy film from 1947, The Bishop's Wife. (On TCM at Midnight, EST if you care) And I don't care that people got sick of it since they ran it to death back in the 80's and 90's, It's a Wonderful Life! I watched it back when it was a staple only on PBS in the late 70's.....I always caught it in the middle, which made it seem like a expanded Twilight zone to me, was shocked when I finally saw the film from the beginning! James Stewart is amazing in it, that scene at the bar when he says he is at the end of his rope, always gets me.....I'm glad that it is no longer in the public domain, though that is what made it a success finally after it "flopped" in 1946.... So, what do you guys (and gals) listen/watch???
  5. The way it should be! How could you as a kid open all the stuff Christmas eve, and get to sleep before dawn? Who would want to open the Mosaic before going to bed?
  6. There have been a few threads on them before... http://www.organissimo.org/forum/index.php...hl=past+perfect
  7. Love that Avatar!!!!!
  8. Merry Christmas Berigan. But don't you think hoping and praying for a peaceful New Year and voting the way you do is a contradiction? Oh, and your signature is out of context and makes no sense. Happy New Year to ya' my boy Wow Johnny, what you doing in the non Political section of the board? Oh I see, trying to drag politics into it! Not gonna do it, no sir! Well, ok, just for a sec.... I don't know about the context part, but not making sense? Of course not! When do politicians do that, especially when they talking about France? Now see what you made me do? Go check out some of the jazz threads, there are some interesting ones...you did know there was threads on jazz as well, right?
  9. Sorry to hear about this guys! Yes, people that do this are bastards! AmirBagachelles, you bring up a good point, for the life of me, I don't know why ebay defaults to the non-secure sign in! It is a pain, but most of the time I click on the link that takes you to he secure sign in. Also, I don't have my credit card statement handy, but I do believe that whatever credit card you use for your ebay account should have a phone number for ebay...how good it is, I don't know! If you dig around on their hard to navigate site(No fun, I know!) sometimes their chat areas will have good suggestions for various problems. Also, upper and lower case doesn't matter on ebay, correct? I don't know about Yahoo.....
  10. Merry Christmas everyone! And let us hope and pray it is a peaceful New year as well!
  11. Do you know what year she went from Connie, to Connee??

  13. Outkast , how can I forget these guys, since they are from the ATL and all! I loved a remix of B.O.B. (Bombs over Baghdad) that got lots of airplay on the "Alternative" station here, 99X in 2000. Their rap is original, hyperfast, and they are not afraid of taking chances...their latest single is getting played to death right now.... N.E.R.D. (I didn't know about the Neptunes until just reading about them at allmusic) had a few songs that got airplay, including the wonderful(Did I just type wonderful?) song Lapdance. Pharrell Williams I do believe is a genius, or damn close. I saw him on a VH1 special on Ol' Dirty Bastard, take a quite wasted looking Ol' Dirty Bastard, doing a lame job on a tune, and ramp him and the song up a few notches and make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. (Rappers say things like that, right?) Hey, what song and album was Pharrell Williams singing on with that amazing falsetto, anyway?
  14. Berigan, you spent too much time on the political pages to read about Jeanne Crain's death. She passed away December 14. Here is a Jeanne Crain obit: Thanks for the post Brownie, and I'll have you know that I am down to 49% of my posts in the political section of this board! Of course, I might still be checking out political stories too much on the WWW But I do look at other headlines, and never read anything about this....of course, Michael Jackson gets the lion's share of the entertainment news these days, who cares about some old actress dying!
  15. Jazzdog, you are right! The rap I have liked in the past has been more music related....lets see if I can make any sense here. Meaning that the Rapping is not more important than the music itself. That is if there is music in the background, and not just beats. Which means B3-er is right as well! Most of the rap I hear today is amazingly unimaginative, they get a simple hook and beat it to death. And the rappers themselves seem to get worse every day! Just listen to their voices! Where are the RUN-DMCs Chuck Ds, the Young MCs(you know what I mean) voices that you recognized right away, and were not so damn flat sounding! These guys really do sound like they are drug dealers with no talent who just threw enough money someone's way to get a record deal, and a video produced. People who are a little more creative IMO have been able to do something creative in a genre that seems fairly limited. And I guess those folks have been more R&B in their sound, like Missy Elliot, she seems more talented than a dozen other big rap/hip-hop artists combined! Just to confuse the subject, I have been watching the VH1 Special, Driven on Jay-Z, and it kept referring to hip hop as being totally separate from R&B, which I don't get! Like talking about a tour Jay-Z put on being the first all hip hop tour, with no R&B artists! Oh, the Kelis song does suffer the simple , repetitive hook that I usually hate in most rap songs, but it seems to have something else that she brings to the tune, and it ain't just her tits, you can't hear tits!
  16. Just read that Hope Lange has died...either aged 70, or 72. And in a post on that board, they mentioned that Jeanne Crain had died on the 14th! I didn't hear one word about that, did anyone else? It is listed at allmovie.com. Hope Lange of 'Peyton Place' Dies at 70 Hope Lange, Film Star Who Earned Oscar Nomination for 'Peyton Place' in 1957, Dies at 70 The Associated Press SANTA MONICA, Calif. Dec. 21 — Hope Lange, who starred opposite Hollywood's top actors over a decades-long career and earned an Oscar nomination for her supporting role in the 1957 film "Peyton Place," has died, her husband said Sunday. She was 70. Lange died Friday at Saint John's Health Center in Santa Monica after suffering an infection caused by an intestinal inflammation known as ischemic colitis, said her husband, Charles Hollerith. Lange split her time between homes in Los Angeles' Westwood section and New York City, said Hollerith, a former theatrical producer and vice president of the Actors' Fund of America. Lange starred in dozens of films and television shows and captured two Emmy awards for her role in the series "The Ghost and Mrs. Muir" in the late 1960s, her husband said. Her big-screen credits included "The Best of Everything" in 1959 with Joan Crawford, "The Young Lions" in 1958 with Marlon Brando and "Peyton Place" with Lana Turner. More recently, she was in 1986's "Blue Velvet" and 1994's "Clear and Present Danger." Actor Don Murray, who was married to Lange for several years in the 1950s, said Lange combined good looks and acting prowess. "She was considered a great beauty who was also a serious and dedicated actor who didn't pay attention to being glamorous," Murray said. Murray said her looks even intimidated Marilyn Monroe, who wanted Lange's naturally blonde hair dyed light brown in their 1956 film "Bus Stop." "Marilyn complained about sharing the screen with another blonde," said Murray, who also starred in the movie. "I guess she felt competition because Hope was a young beauty." Lange is survived by her husband, a son, actor Christopher Murray, a daughter, Patricia Murray, and two grandchildren.
  17. Kelis, she is an anomaly! An Aberration if you will....check out the video! So simple a song, and yet,... http://www.bet.com/articles/0,,c3gb7816-8657,00.html#
  18. It was an ocean at one time, wasn't it??? Or was it just full of rivers....I forget...
  19. Hey! He's not all bad! I sold one of his "rare" cds for 50 bucks 2-3 years ago! I felt so dirty! -_- Didn't Miles hire Kenny to open for him at one time? Can there be any stronger indictment of the damage drugs can do long-term???
  20. I only have a few Mosaics(I'm not a multi-millionaire like half the boardmembers are! ) but I would have to say the Capitol set...so very many artists/genres to choose from, and a fair bit of the music will never see the light of a laser ever again....
  21. Now I am confused...is he saying he has some spare change for beer, and all I have to do is put my arms around him....hmmmm......

  25. Well, I didn't want you to see me as the first post, get you hopes up, only to find I didn't have anything to offer, but I will now post! Anyway, what I was going to say is that usually, there are several RCA sets on ebay, but when I checked last night, not a one! Just had a thought.....I get them every once in a while...Checked on amazon, and there are a few up there used! Not everyone ships international on amazon, but some do...check there feedback as well, don't want you mad at me! Some look fairly good, but you check comments to them, and it looks terrible! http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/store...2699501-1852138
