    George Lewis did I think 9 albums for Verve in 1956-1960, roughly the same time Ory recorded for Verve. AFAIK only one album has been out on a Japanese CD. A Mosaic box of those recordings would be a nice sequel to both the OOP Ory Verve box and the OOP Lewis Blue Note box.

    Spain outclassed Russia and very deservedly went to the final, their first since 1984 (unlike Germany...). Russia didn't look nearly as good as in the last couple of matches, but perhaps Spain simply was adept at neutralizing Russia's strengths.

    As you know, Spain and Russia already met in the first group match, with Spain winning convincingly with 4-1. Russia with Arshavin is a much better team now though. Judging by how the quarter finals looked, I would almost hold Russia as the favourite tonight.
