  1. Pirates & The Magazine are def my favourites, and I have a guilty appreciation of the complete AOR of Flying Cowboys too. I discovered her, I imagine like a lot of younger people, when the Orb sampled her on their track “Little Fluffy Clouds” in 1990 which was taken from a promo interview CD promoting Flying Cowboys. The Girl At Her Volcano EP from 1983 is lovely too where she covers some jazz standards.
  2. its up on Amazon now with picture & more info Mary Ann (Live In Bremen 1969): Amazon.co.uk: CDs & Vinyl
  3. 4. you should have combined your order with mine and mjazzg
  5. Matt got it wrong on the website, it’s only $16 for international so don’t pay more until you email him
  6. Out in May, all the same ones as the series from 2002 bar one new addition (The Melody At Night) but since those go for a pretty penny these days and these are also UHQ-CDs am sure there will be some interest https://merurido.jp/topic.php?srcbnr=64762
  7. I want a copy sent to U.K. too, maybe we could combine and save on the still fairly pricey postage?
  8. Just got the CD, The Second Movement is fantastic.
  9. Finally picked the Live In Bremen set and I think it could my favourite live release this year, great performances and excellent sound, I had Resonance and always liked it but this live show takes it up a notch, highly recommended!
  10. Sounds nice the Japanese UHQCD is part of a series of other reissues by him too, including The Prime Element on CD for first time ever. https://merurido-jp.translate.goog/topic.php?srcbnr=60555&_x_tr_sl=ja&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en&_x_tr_pto=sc

  12. new release on British Progressive Jazz, sounds great! https://britishprogressivejazz.com/album/on-italian-roads-live-at-teatro-cristallo-milan-1979
  13. This got posted to YouTube yesterday by Columbia, I assume it’s a taster from the new series? Not doing that much for me, not sure a fairly anaemic cover of the Tina classic is gonna get anyone too excited!
  14. Yeah I have that, I meant the Tapscott + Winds one and the Century City Playhouse 1979 one, I don’t think there are even digital downloads. I found some fairly decent needle drops for the time being.
  15. Thankfully on Cd https://m.facebook.com/pg/darktreerecords/posts/ Still pissed that those two recent Tapscott things were vinyl only.
  16. I’ve just started delving into the multitude of live SM material, I just picked up this and the German NDR package also on Cunieforme, what else is recommended, the BBC ones sound good going by what I’ve heard on YouTube and just ordered Floating Points & Drop from Japan.
  17. All are on YouTube for you to make your own opinion:)
  18. you can't order from that specific site from outside Japan, its a good reference site for news though. All those cds will be easily available on cd japan, ebay, amazon.jp next month am sure
  19. Some of the Strata records reissues that came out as vinyl only releases on 180 Proof a couple of years back are getting cd issues in Japan next month Sphere - Inside Ourselves Contemporary Jazz Quintet - Black Hole Maulawi - Oruntunds Along with Kenny Cox & Lyman Woodward https://merurido.jp/topic.php?srcbnr=56504
  20. There are some great albums in his catalogue, particularly Paysages, the self titled one from 72 and Open Road from 73. He did revert back to more trad material soon after sadly which is why maybe he doesn’t get the current attention that others are.
  21. In the World was reissued on SHM-CD fairly recently, shouldn’t be too hard to find https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/373431774226?hash=item56f244ac12:g:u2IAAOSw1PFgXZ7r
  22. Has anyone been brave enough to pick this up yet, I’ve seen it on Amazon etc now
  23. Well at least it has the original cover, I hated the reimagined artwork 32 Jazz used as well as those strange digipaks.
  24. On cd for the first time and with 40 mins of extra material, sounds great! https://eltondean.bandcamp.com/album/they-all-be-on-this-old-road
  25. The Japanese CD version is now up as coming out in Oct on Dusty Groove https://www.dustygroove.com/item/979452?sf=Pharoah+Sanders&incl_oos=1&incl_cs=1&kwfilter=Pharoah+Sanders&sort_order=artist Hopefully they will do the other ones, Billy Harper, Archie Shepp, at some point too.
