  1. Johnny Lytle - Easy Easy (32 Jazz) Compiles two complete LPs originally released on Muse: Fast Hands (1980) and Happy Ground (1991)
  2. Michael Philip Mossman - The Orisha Suite (Universal Latino)
  3. The Best of Tito Puente: El Rey del Timbal! (Rhino) A fun compilation -- even it's impossible to summarize Puente's "best" in just one disc.
  4. Good stuff. IMO, Bryant had a rock-solid run of records for Pablo. NP:
  5. JoeHen plays magnificently here, and he's supported by a dream rhythm section in Larry Willis, Dave Holland, and Jack DeJohnette.
  6. Two excellent LPs, sidewinder!
  7. James Moody - Heritage Hum and The Teachers (Collectables) Both LPs originally released on Perception Records
  8. Thanks Jim. Will give those a listen. Right now, I'm listening to Lucky Thompson. Specifically the trio sides he made with Oscar Pettiford and Skeeter Best, as heard on this set:
  9. The Fantastic Violinaires. Never heard of them, but I love the name.
  10. I just snagged a NEW copy of Kenny Werner's 2017 Pirouet release Animal Crackers off eBay for $6.72 (including shipping!). According to the site, there are 5 more available at that price. The seller is importscds.ca -- so I actually paid CAD $8.50. An excellent deal!
  11. Lots of Peacock gospel LPs still floating around out there down your way, Jim?
  12. Kenny Werner - Beat Degeneration (Night Bird/Sunnyside) with Johannes Weidenmueller (b) and Ari Hoenig (d) Outstanding music by a tremendous trio. Recorded live in Paris in November 2000, this CD is on my list of Favorite Recordings of the 21st Century.
  13. Duke Ellington - Cornell University (MusicMasters Jazz) Concert recordings from 1948
  14. Continuing my recent Eddie Harris kick. Eddie Harris - Greater Than the Sum of His Parts (32 Jazz) Disc 2 - originally released as The Tender Storm and Silver Cycles What do you think of this CD, jazzbo? I have several of Da Fonseca's recordings, and I've enjoyed all of them. So I'm betting this one is good too.
  15. More Duke. Cootie!!! He comes ROARING out of the gate!
  16. Duke today. and Superb.
  17. I didn't even know that these existed. But they look VERY cool. What years do your two volumes cover?
  18. chewy - the images that you included in your original post aren't appearing. (Or they aren't appearing to me, at least.)
