  1. That's putting it ambitiously!
  2. Most of the Blue Note catalog along with lots of Verve and Steeplechase and Prestige/Riverside/Fantasy and Columbia and CTI and...
  3. I suggest medical help! Suppose your house burned down? You'd eventually get over it; I mean have some faith in your innate qualities. Goods are great; but they aren't everything. Sheesh!
  4. How about a trade for Silver, "HoraceScope" on JRVG?
  5. Offers are now off the table. I've just ordered "Tokyo Blues" and "Mo Greens" from Hiroshi. Would still offer the Mclean for a JRVG that I don't already have. Got anything?
  6. I've heard it before (though I don't own it.) It's okay. As good/bad as "Brown Sugar" but w/o Joe Henderson.
  7. Will also trade the TOCJ "It's Time!" for a JRVG Horace Silver, "Tokyo Blues." B-)
  8. May have to go that route Underground. Nobody seems to want a sealed TOCJ copy of "It's Time!" (Even though several board members bought the Freddie Roach for $14 from Grey on this board!)
  9. I'm offering my TOCJ (Sealed!) copy Vint. I'll keep your JRVG. Anyone...?
  10. Super album. I voted for "All Blues." Of course, I like em all.
  11. Haven't seen the show since I was a kid. Loved it then. Does it hold up to an adult's point of view?
  12. Happy Birthday brother Berigan!
  13. I'm looking for Freddie Roach, "Mo Greens Please" In exchange, I can offer a Japanese Jackie Mclean, "It's Time!" Anyone?
  14. Slow boat would have been fine!
  15. Yeah, happy birthday DEEP!
  16. Listen to your manager, Jim. He's on the right track.
  17. How about waking up so darn early that it as if I were up all night?
  18. I bought a copy a few years back for $10 or something. Then in 2004, I ran into another copy in Dearborn. I bought it in order to offer it to the guys on this board, and I noticed a scratch which affected play... I returned it for the $8 I paid. At least I still have mine, but I'll think of you Kevin if I run into it again...and I get mine cheap! B-)
  19. I feel the same way. I just don't like burns. I've got less than five burns (out of 700 cds) and I never play them. However, I do admit that I am not an impecunious student who has to count coins...so that's just me! Anyway, Evan and Kevin: shake hands and drop the discussion. You are both good guys and I call you both friends.
  20. Thanks!!! Etherbored and Conn- yours went out Monday. Arrived yesterday. Thanks Sandy!
  21. Better be the last one... at least there was no accompanying picture...
  22. Despite what computers have done, the answer is still "yes!" B-)
  23. In my opinion, Kasparov was the greatest player in chess history. He has decided to retire from competitive chess at the (still young) age of 42. He cites the current mess regarding world championship unification and a lack of anything further to prove as the main reasons. http://www.chessbase.com/newsdetail.asp?newsid=2258 It's a sad day for chess fans. He leaves as still the highest rated player in the world. No one else is really close. More importantly, he almost comes across as a normal guy...well almost!
  24. Both readily available as individual cds.
