  1. You'd be kicked out of the tournaments I play in if you do, but anything goes in private games!
  2. There needs to be a cap on such noise if her opponent lodges a complaint. Any "concentration" sport, such as tennis (chess too!) needs a certain amount of quiet. But if her opponents don't complain, then I guess she can do it all she wants. What the fuck? That's horrible. I'm offended. Me too. The bandana isn't big enough.
  3. Must be the time you posted them. John Abercrombie – Timeless ECM 1047 (1975) US pressing $7 Julian Preister – Love, Love ECM1044 (1974) West German pressing $9 This is based on Rooster's and Felser's recs. Both have excellent taste in music. PM sent.
  4. Not only were Fred and Lamont terrific as lead players, but those side players were all great as well. Many of them toured with Redd during his travelling days. Aside from Aunt Esther and Rollo, Bubba was great, as was Esther's husband--name escapes me right now, but he was always on the bottle. Esther's bible-thumping church group were funny as well. Julio was excellent, and the two cops who regularly visited.
  5. Happy Birthday to Chuckster!
  6. Good things you guys aren't in the same room. Spit would be flying in all directions.
  7. Looks like Quincy is tearing it up.
  8. Gruden is terrific behind the camera. I loved his work on draft day. He is very natural and funny. This is a huge upgrade over Kornheiser.
  9. Good luck, Mark. We'll still be here when you are able to return.
  10. Nice of you to say that. Fun being back with you guys again. Am I asking too much for these cds, or does everyone already own them? No response so far.
  11. Been just fine. Haven't been posting for a bit, but I'm still around. These Blue Mitchell discs are extras.
  12. Boss Horn JRVG w/ obi $13 Mosaic disc #3 $11 Mosaic disc #4 $11 Costs include shipping to US addresses. Send pm for international.
  13. Finding work is tough right now, even in the medical field. I'm hoping to find some kind of low-end medical job over the summer, as I will have no classes. Apparently, there are a thousand applicants for every job. Many hospitals have hiring freezes. This country is fucked! Something better clear up when I graduate in December.
  14. Typical questionable pick for the Raiders. Not convinced about the Viking's selection of Harvin. He has a load of character issues. Mangina and the Browns have played this draft very well, trading down three times. Excellent moves--Belichick inspired. Are the Pats ever going to pick a player? They keep trading it away. Sheesh!!
  15. One of my favorite days in sports has arrived. NFL draft will commence in approx. 15 minutes. Here we go!
  16. Whatever your decision may be, plan for the long run. So if you are currently scared and tempted to put your $ into money market funds, it would hurt you in the long run. My investments have been hurt, like everyone elses with the stock market downturn, but I asked myself where I wanted to be long run, and the only answer was "stocks." If that's the case, then you put your 401k there, and if it's already there, you leave it there. The problem with temporary safety choices such as money markets is that you never know when to reenter the stock market. You may miss some downturn while you are in your safe haven, but you'll also miss a good amount of upside while hesitating over a reentry point. The commercial was talking about annuties, perhaps? They have their advantages, but they are very costly. Be careful and read up on everything first before going into one of those.
  17. Sorry to hear that Chris has left for good. Hope he reconsiders. I'll always support the O-board. Jim has been more than fair throughout the years. No need to take sides on this one. Let's all just forgive and forget.
