I added my order for the Coltrane box yesterday, but let's see if we get them. No shipping confirmation yet, or on my first order from last week. Grrr ... well not angry, but anxious. And then later I can complain about how much I haven't listened to yet ! I'm not concerned. I'm sure they have more than enough copies for all of us. I doubt that they would have held the sale without having a large supply to get rid of.

This is very true for me as well. I have not had one bad experience either, though Underground and I had to settle on a couple of things. Overall, he did me much more good than otherwise. The above-mentioned comment by Morganized should be publicized in that it is indeed very remarkable. That's one reason why I came down heavily on Chewy for reneging on the deal with SS1. (OK, we won't go into that topic again.) Anyone here who cheats another board member shall be publicly pilloried!

I missed out on that one too. I was able to pick it up on a second offering at $5 higher. No need to single yourself out. We all miss out on stuff all the time. That's how it goes. I won't be bothering with any "ding" thing. If I miss it; I miss it. No need to cry about it in public. Suggestion: stay up late at night. You often get some people posting stuff then.

Best way is to just hang out on Organissimo or check in frequently. That's what I do. The irony is that those who have the time to check in frequently are likely to have non-demanding, low pay jobs (such as myself.) We see the offerings but aren't able to afford what we want. Others who have the bread don't have time to check on the offerings. I always lost out on Grey's offerings. Those were the best. Don't pay attention to Big Al. He always whines about missing sales when he wouldn't pull the trigger anyway.

Not only did they misjudge the market, but the relatively large number of copies they supplied to Spin in Newcastle, UK, had the wrong cds , And as a limited edition! Spin never received replacements, and so I never received my pre ordered copy. I bought this cd directly from Rhino when it came out. Didn't find it suited my tastes, and I sold it on this board. I think Bright Moments bought it from me, but I don't exactly remember. Sold it for like $18 or so. Looks like I could have held on to it longer for more $$$; but it works both ways. I've bought stuff cheap here too. So sell cheap; buy cheap. It all evens out.
