  1. AE likely on borrowed time on this board, and stupid posts like this don't help.
  2. I don't care for the third cd in the set at all. But those first two are terrific. Melba Liston's arrangements are awesome!!
  3. Take it from Chuck. He knows!
  4. Great response Skid! And when I have to slam on the brakes, I'll offer the stuff on the board, and someone usually buys it! Interesting also to consider WHERE you build your collection from. In my case, it was Encore Records (before they changed ownership) in Ann Arbor, ebay, sales from board members here, Mosaic, and half.com There were other places of course, but those were the main sources in my case. Good luck!
  5. This is a very good album but definitely not Harper's best recording. I prefer his later recordings like this one: Well, "Somalia" happens to be my personal favorite as well, but "Black Saint" isn't far behind.
  6. Picked up this set from a board member and listened to it today. It's a definite winner. It might be one of the best Selects I own.
  7. Man, this is a killer album. Track 3, "Call of the Wild and Peaceful Heart" is awesome! Great work by Virgil Jones and Billy H. on that one. Joe Bonner is a great addition. Get this cd if you don't already have it!!
  8. pm sent Package will go out in tomorrow's mail.

  14. Everything paid for by paypal has been mailed out. Still waiting on Doyle--I'm missing your full name, and require payment. Address will be given that way. Still got a few things left, folks.
  15. pms sent to Doyle, Vint, Kevin and Pete. I've updated the list. Things are starting to move now. Surprised no one has jumped on "Happy Frame of Mind." That's my alltime favorite Horace Parlan session. Grant Green smokes!
  16. On these titles, when you say "TOCJ w/obi", do you mean the old TOCJ CDs from about 10 years ago or the recent 24 bit remasters? "Headin' South" would be TOCJ-4062. If these are the old TOCJs, I'll take them. Kevin The old ones, Kevin. All my TOCJs offered here date back to early and mid- 90s. I don't have time to pm you right now w/ details, cause I'm busy at work, but I'll hold them for you and will be in touch later today. Take a buck off your total, because you are buying more than one cd. Paul
  17. I agree with Buzz on this one. I bought the cd about a month ago. As BF says, "Smokin'!!"
