  1. How can you leave a game that's tied? Either team can win this game; and the winner will win the series.
  2. $14 postage paid to US address. It's got a couple of tunes not included in the Moncur Select. Also: Moncur, "Evolution" $11 postage paid. Both cds are in good shape. Paypal preferred.
  3. The live stuff is really great too. The studio cds serve as a good compliment. Free For All said this one is on his buy list.
  4. It's a good one, folks. One of my favorite Mosaic sets. Somebody should buy this.
  5. I was talking to a few people at work today and I heard the usual story about how Shaq is a terrible athlete and uses his great size to dominate smaller men. I've been hearing this throughout Shaq's career. My thoughts are that this 350 lb man runs up and down the court from one season to the next. Imagine the wear and tear on his joints. This is one fine and courageous athlete. He's a fighter and amazingly resilient. Large men rarely get their full due. I can't run 3 miles w/o doing a Fred Sanford shuffle for a couple weeks afterwards. Shaq is amazing. I wonder if he'll be like Earl after he retires...barely able to walk. (Earl Campbell) I sure hope not. A-FRICKIN'-MEN!!!! :tup :tup He's been playing how many seasons now getting hit by "designated foulers" employing Hack-a-Shaq tactics?
  6. I'll take that off you...

  8. If the league conspires to keep the finals going the full 7 games, then they surely won't suspend Dirk. Depends on whether you guys believe in the league conspiracy theory or not.
  9. Got my sets today. Take5 was prompt and I'm happy!
  10. I'll get the Hutch set for sure. Will likely pass on the Andrew Hill solo stuff.
  11. Yeah, but Ed provides the Mosaic quotes. This is the thread for me!
  12. Shaq 3-13 on FT line. Give the man a snack on the bench!
  13. I hope somebody offers a bunch of oop Mosaic boxes on the forum while everyone is busy watching the game.
  14. I respectfully disagree. Rocky would have k.o.'d him within 5 or 6 rounds. I would also claim that Rocky ruled at a time when there was a dearth of great heavyweights, as did Floyd. However, his competition was still better. Bert Sugar rates Ezzard Charles amongst the top 5 heavyweights of all time. Rocky beat an aged Louis, who, imo would have knocked out Floyd even at that advanced age. Floyd could hit, but his chin was fragile. The sad thing is that he never beat a great fighter, beyond Archie Moore, who was even older than when he fought Rocky. I would even go back as far as maybe Max Schmeling, or Jack Sharkey or Primo to find a prior champion Floyd would be able to defeat. I think Max Baer would have knocked him out; Louis certainly; Walcott, Charles, Rocky, etc. Floyd was a great man; but he was a mediocre heavyweight champion.
  15. I thought we'd eventually see 7 v.s. 7. Those red cards were flying....
  16. $$1 told me that any hard foul to the head is a flagrant foul. I asked him if hits to coconut heads count? $$1 said, yeah; even hits to Rodman's head....
  17. Er, Sangry didn't say that; I did. Sangry says a lot of shit, but that one was mine!
  18. I wouldn't be so fast to pass judgement. Often we see a team kicking butt in the early rounds (remember Nigeria in the 80s?) only to fall in the final matches to a stolid and steady side. Aren't European teams favored this year since it's being played in Europe? Brazil is the favorite going in. Looks like Argentina is in the best early form.
