  1. Reserve one from me for $30, and I'll get it to you as soon as I can contact CD Baby...
  2. I agree, John; that's a must-have!
  3. Ray Charles Mia Hamm Dennis Farina
  4. I avoid Ambrose as well, although I have Undaunted Courage on my shelves, a gift. I'll second Paul's suggestion; try books that focus on one aspect (although I'm not into 'by the battle' stuff at all) rather than the entire war; you'll get a lot more depth that way. My most recent WWII book is Roosevelt's Secret War by Joseph E. Persico. My WWII shelf is darned thin, however; in spite of my having served, I'm just not that into military history. Plus, I tend to focus on the period between the two World Wars rather than the war years.
  5. Eddie Money Dollar Brand 50 Cent
  6. I agree with Patricia, although I'm only comparing "Dawn"; haven't seen the others. While "Dawn" was a fun film, and had it's points in the quality ledger, it couldn't carry the original's jockstrap. The original Night of the Living Dead was one of those films where magic happens.
  7. Sorry; just in a silly mood. It was in reference to your handle, which I don't recognize, but does ring a bell... Okay; I'll stop now.
  8. I went with the Columbia Country Classics Essential Bob Wills 1935-1947 as my intro to the Texas Playboys and heartily reccomend it as a start.
  9. Benny Carter Henny Penny Jack Benny ← Eddy Anderson Phil Harris Dennis Day
  10. No way for me to answer this one. I work from one of those "monster want lists" and I never know which CDs are going to pop onto my actual buying list until I'm placing the order. Right now I'm most interested in more Ken Vandermark and Pat Metheney (yeah, figure that out!) but when it comes down to pulling the trigger, who knows...
  11. Is that just a hunch?
  12. Just in case anybody's on the bubble on this thing, while I've only listened to the first five discs, I most definitely reccomend it!
  13. Let's do punch him, shall we? I'm about his age and I still dress that way, sort of, but I'm not A FRIGGIN' MULTI-MILLIONAIRE! What else do we want from the guy who institutionalized the fist-pumping YEEES!!!! ← Well, if you had space aliens in your corner...
  14. Here's the link in case anyone's so excited they can't type...
  15. Julie must be the name of the beer; ain't nothing else in that picture sixteen...
  16. So how many CDs does each drawer hold in your fixtures?

    Funny Rat

I knew if I read enough of this thread, I'd finally find advice that didn't cost me money!
  18. Well...my recommendation would be to add Charles Earland to the list.
  19. Billy Guy Herbie Mann Houston Person ← Duke Pearson John Wayne Waylon Jennings
  20. "Sheeeeit! She ain't been the same since that coffee bit, Max!"
  21. Can you imagine...if this product had won out over Spam, we'd all be bitching about getting too much 'tang...
  22. Love that lipsmackin' 'tang!
  23. Well, I suppose at least a couple of us should stop for a bit and get automobiles, but then, cars usually sound pretty crappy anyway...
  24. I just checked the email Eric posted; I didn't realize these things held 270 CDs per drawer. Maybe they are worth looking into...
