  2. Don't be messin' with my Good 'n' Plenty, bud!
  3. Hmmm...I haven't stepped on any toes lately, so I'll suggest that the reason music store emplyees play crap is because they're young. Oh, sure, WE were cool at that age, but....
  4. Well, since my "hardcore Marvel fan" days were the 60's, they'd pretty much have to make it a period piece for me to enjoy it. Still, I prefer my comics on the printed page. As for why the obsession with comic characters, the real reason is that conglomerates. Ever since DC became a small corner of Time/Warner, they already have the property, and it's all about exploiting your property, so we get comics on the big screen. Along with sixties sitcoms, of course...
  5. Well......I still say valves on a trombone is wimpy, but okay.
  6. Excellent point, spinlps.... Now playing the self-titled Echo & The Bunnymen edited to add... Yeah, that's the sound I was looking for! Now where the heck did I put Crocodile??? (Why are my CDs so organized and my LPs so mixed up??)
  7. Any idea when?
  8. They come with very strange "extras" loaded into the computer, if I remember mine. (I'm trying to forget it!) Extra advertising, links to businesses, etc. I wasn't at all happy, but the OS (Windows ME) was as much, if not more, responsible than the other shit. The computer itself was fine, once I reformatted the hard disc and loaded the OS from Microsoft rather than the discs supplied by eMachine...
  9. Oh, crap, don't get me started on Beta. That format was sooooo much better than VHS...
  10. The Teardrop Explodes: Kilimanjaro edited to add... uh, this isn't as good as my memory was telling me...
  11. I've got a Dell as well; with their "customize" menu, you can knock off a few things that you don't need if you want to lower the price.
  12. Well, since I usually hear that term in conjunction with the term "not available for", I wonder if they've figured out why no one's converted...
  13. The early Night Gallerys were definitely good stuff. Unfortunately, it began to drift as it went on, ending up as a joke towards the end.
  14. Tree Rollins Sonny Rollins Sonny Bono
  15. Thurston Howell III Mr. Magoo Tyler Fitzgerald
  16. I don't know, but every time I see her name, I hear Werner Kemplerer's voice...
  17. My first thought (in reaction to the sentence in question) was to Miles' second quintet, not his electric stuff.
  18. Well.........okay, but can we find something else to freak out about while we wait?
  19. Hey, nobody's saying "don't do boots"; it's just "don't do boots here", particularly since Jim asked us not to.
  20. I agree. Discretion, guys...
  21. Ah...fame enough for any city. I mean, the bell is nice and all, but this....
  22. Of course, you have that great moment awaiting you in the future. You know, when you find that unopened box in the closet with all those LPs you thought you'd lost in the move. Damn, that's fun!
  23. I don't hear it, I'm afraid. I bought Endgame Brilliance, threw it in the player, and was hooked on first spin.
  24. Jim, do I have to send Ray the BFT?
