I've got to say, if I want something that appeals to the kid in my, I'll go with a Tex Avery cartoon. And I don't see much else offered by the Star Wars movies.

I've never listened to "classic rock" radio unless it was on in a store or something. Probably for the very reason you describe, Al. It's just like "golden oldies" stations but with different material. After listening to KSAN back in the early to mid seventies, its like comparing Velveeta to real cheese. The only radio stations I can stand at this point are KCSM or other college stations. Real DJs playing whatever the f*ck they want to play. Just like it ought to be.

I have no idea how big my backlog is; I gave up and filed everything together, open or not. Filing them seperately was leading to too many "Why are you buying more? You've got CDs you haven't even opened yet!" conversations; they're not as noticable now...

Just out of curiosity, since SNL alumni seem to be a side subject here, does anyone else miss A. Whitney Brown? His editorials were some of the funniest bits on the show for me, particularly when they sailed right over the heads of the studio audience...

Probably off the subject somewhat, but I remember while growing up that Tuesday was always "new comics day" as well. This was back in the sixties well before the current "direct sales" era...

I also find it hard to believe there are people who don't recognize the talent that Phil Hartman had. ← Yeah, Phil Hartman was definitely a cut above the others mentioned on this thread.

I dunno...judging by some of the creative envelope re-uses I've seen, they must be pretty pricey as well!
