I do, but you'd have to come "you know where" for an explanation... It was $2.22 yesterday when we filled up, but I use my bike, and the wife doesn't have that far to drive to get to work. Here are my comments from another thread... Well, the verdict is in for me after a few listens. There's definitely a "Costello touch" to this puppy that for some reason I find distracting rather than interesting. Krall shows more emotion with her lyrics than I've ever heard before, and a couple of her piano solos are interesting. But over all, I think Sundog nailed it with "underwhelmed". Add disappointed to my reaction. While a couple of songs strike me as interesting, and I definitely prefer it musically over the overly "LiPuma-ized" string extravaganzas, the disc boils down to a lot of nice work lacking in any soul. I think I'll be leaving the Krall purchases up to the wife from now on... Frank, I agree; the Nat King Cole disc remains her high point.

I ordered both like a fool, but if I had been forced by sanity to choose only one AS I SHOULD HAVE, I'd have gone with the Shorter/Morgan, but only because of my somewhat dormant Lee Morgan trumpet fetish.

You know, every time I see one of those news articles about artists' royalties not being paid, it really drives home what kind of people run these big record companies. Seems like every time a list of artists "missing" comes out, theres always quite a few that are currently touring, and I don't mean just jazz artists either. I'm talking big names. What kind of bull is that?

Nothing. I just placed a big order with Atavistic the other day, and ordered the two VeeJay Mosaics yesterday. I cannot buy any more music. Period. If it takes staying away from this board to enforce that, well, I may have to disappear for a while. Beats divorce...
