  1. What could be more political than voting?
  2. .95??? You're pulling our leg. It's 1.98 here.
  3. It should play them.
  4. Try poking a paper clip through that little hole in the front of the drive. That's the manual way of getting those things open.
  5. I have some health issues that I'm real frightened about. Let see what this week turns up. Nice sunsets are cool though.
  6. Pop. A huge disapointment at the time.
  7. Agreed. I like the way McQueen can hop in his car, and run into little or no traffic in the Bay area. Was it ever like that? Sorta like a car chase in NYC during the day. ...my favorite part of the film is counting the hubcaps that fly off either the mustang or changer during the chase scene.....something like 6-7 fall off of the four tires....never could figure that out ! m~ I always carry extras and throw them out the window whenever I'm in a car chase.

  9. That would explain quite a bit.
  10. I get the impression that you're not real familar with all they have done.
  11. I used to hang out with his cousin, she married a guy I went to high school with. They moved out to New Mexico or Nevada or somethin'. She told me about him and I bought the first singles, still have 'em. Ah...the old gang... and Sue, that could have been me. Evening parties by the Millstone river before it was a state park...
  12. And...sometimes simple can be beautiful. That early material should be judged by when it was recorded.
  13. I wouldn't base an opinion on anything that happened before Bill Bruford joined the band. Except for most of the first album, they were searching for something to do.
  14. Let's hear one of those bands pop out a classic like Fracture. The right thing at the wrong time is wrong. The wrong thing at the right time may be right. The right thing at the right time is beautiful.
  15. And so...a week later, how's the finger?
  16. Recently a string quartet that I wrote was included on an audio only dvd tribute to Morton Feldman. Long after it was recorded, I found this on the blog of the New Yorkers music critic Alex Ross.
  17. I don't think so. 20 years ago when I was in high school they were not teaching or even mentioning him.
  18. Thomas Wolfe, a distant relative. A big influence on Jack Kerouac, someday I'll go to Ashville and visit my roots.
  19. I have been living in Moscow for the last few years, but didn't bother to change my profile. I'll be back in Washington some day, perhaps. Ah, I see... found the idea of DC being transferred to Sibiria pretty funny! Live it and see how funny it is.
  20. I agree on J&R. I have problems with DMG that do not relate to the quality of their stock, with is beyond reproach. Is it a CD-R issue?
  21. Our buddy Phil Schaap @ WKCR has been broadcasting this for years on birthday broadcasts.
