  1. Tritone sub?
  2. If she was into Holdsworth or Mahavishnu...
  3. Yeah, but it's fused with elevator music.
  4. Glad to help out.
  5. happy jazz aka instrumental pop. It doesn't make me happy. Me too. I came up with the term 19 years ago, it's strange how "they" came up with a term like smooth jazz to sell such watered down blah. They need more fiber, I think...

  7. Wow, I've never heard that comment before. But then, out here we're used to Oakland Raiders fans, so even British soccer fans look calm and collected by comparison... I don't even have to go to a game. Try riding NJ Transit home after a game. Loud and puking. Whadda sport. Go team.
  8. che maybe?
  9. I have it, but not on CD...I really need to get a turntable.
  10. Lucky you, I've only seen it as a boot.
  11. Dig it, 'Trane's horn:

    Harold Arlen

    ...how does the bridge go?
  13. I wanted to play oboe. The film they showed me in elementry school made it sound important, but they quickly guided me towards the Bb clarinet. Since I was already taking piano lessons, the clarinet lessons didn't last too long. Now guitar has lasted 30 years.
  14. But that Stix is good.
  15. Very good, but you did work in a record store. Don't take me wrong, some of my best friends work in a record store.
  16. Punky's Whips.
  17. I never owned a copy. Same for the Styx.
  18. You mean "All the Young Dudes"? Ah....so now you're making fun of David Bowie and Mott the Hoople fans. I actually meant the cover of that tune they did on their live set (where's that pukin' smiley when you need it), but I'm sure you knew that. I think you're just getting the fans of the above-mentioned all riled up. Bad boy. I wasn't.

  20. yes, yes.
  21. Indian: East 5th St. between 1st ave and 2nd., unless Maren knows better that's where I point ya. I'd love to get together, but I've been sick with either a stomach virus or food poisioning so I'm not feeling too hot. Have fun! That's actually East 6th Street -- it's probably the cheapest, and it's near my place, but I'm checking out a place said to be much nicer, closer to the Park Central... will report later! 7/4, hope you're feeling better soon! Ah yes, E. 6th. Like I wrote, I'm not at top of my superhero powers today. And when you have a chance, PM me and tell me where those Indian places are uptown.

  23. Ornette plays alto, not soprano.
