Unusual artist listings in alpha of my collection

Anybody else noticing alphabetization by first name becoming more common in business use? As for databases, what do people use, what program? -
You'll want to look at the Hi-Lo's work. Can't provide full specifics, but there's enough there to matter.

Maybe the Yankees and the Angels could merge and be like the Filmores East & West of MLB. -
Larry was from Newark, Lawrence Of Newark...I wasn't there, but from all I can tell/have heard, Newark was like, a serious intersections of all things African-American, traditional, current, and futuristic. Not unlike Chicago, only Newark was always in the shade of NYC, so things could happen there a little more "locally" in terms of where the spotlight was seen. Same thing about Chicago, but Chicago did have its own family of labels, of all sizes. I'll again direct anybody who cares to "The Revealing Time" from Buddy Terry's Natural Soul record - Larry, Woody, & Eddie Gladden plus Terry himself. I for one can't imagine such music being made without a complete openness to things coming in and moving through, no way to be that open at that place in that way and be solidified/calcified in the considerations of one's possibilities.

Don't know that much of his work, but that which I've heard has been deeply engaging. RIP, and know that posthumous pursuit will be undertaken.

Why are the reputations of US composers so pianissimo?
JSngry replied to A Lark Ascending's topic in Classical Discussion
Yep. The Nasher Soundings series is mostly very worthy. Didn't subscribe last year because of a little too much emphasis on "cabaret" type things for my taste, but did go to single shows, and have subscribed in the past. Definitely going to subscribe this year, putting my money where my ears are (and you now, free your mind - and buy your tickets - and your ass will follow). -

Beltre will be around forever, somewhere, perhaps just as a memory, but he will always be around. Beltre Is Forever. -
Getting to the Corbett vs Dempsey reissue of Push Pull today....oh my! I remembered it well, but this is even better. Maybe not "essential" for ALL the world, but for the one that this one is addressing, it certainly is. And sorry, Karen Borca dislikers/haters/etc. The woman can seriously play. But(?) Lyons is the main thing here, Jimmy Lyons playing the entire instrument and, if not the entire mind, at least the whole mind.

I like the Beltran/Beltre sequence in the order. You could have one fansign for both, just Velcro an "an" and an "e" to put at the end of "Belt". That's the kind of smart productivity that is fuelling the 21st Century into a world of onward, better, and beyond.. -

We have been weak-ish at catcher for a few years now, really. Offense matters, but the ability to call a good game is even more important, I think. Lucroy & Chirinos allow to have that, with a little bump offensively. Bobby Wilson DFA'ed...would like to see him somewhere within reach, as he too could call a good gae, even if the offense was kinda quiet. All told, though, the J.D. wheels are always turning. Seems like an overpay at this point, but those wheels... As for what we now have to work with now and as players come off the DL: http://www.lonestarball.com/2016/8/1/12345500/texas-rangers-25-man-roster-projected-post-trades Can't say that I would use "weaponized" as anything other than a homemade neologism (a type of word which I generally love), but sounds fair to me. -

Beltran is fine. So is Lucroy for that matter, we're thin at the position, have been. But damn, Brinson and Ortiz? In J.D. we trust, still, but nobody's perfect. Seems like an overpay to me, we'll see. -

Prince is on some more DL stay, Moreland is spotty but awesome when on, so not really worried there, the lineup runs broad and deep(ish) as far as infield goes. It's Choo whose real status is not known, so Beltran fill that hole, whether it exists or not. Still waiting for the Gallo for Lucroy shoe to drop. -

That Albany cut is intense as fuck. ..just ordered the CD. Appreciate the tip.

Thanks for that. So are there any meaningful records of him playing with the higher action? Kinda wondering if a "before/ after" thing is do-able, just for fun.
