  1. Thanks, Tony. I've only heard 2 or 3 old Goon shows, but my god, they were brilliant. Are there any collections of old shows available today?
  2. And yes, welcome, indigo. Good to have you aboard!
  3. Sorry for the tardy response, but HELL YEAH on this thing that you mention.
  4. brownie - I read another thread about the amount of the settlement. Is that the amount that was actually paid out?
  5. Appreciate the response, but I'm afraid I don't know what that is either. Tuberculosis? A disease of elm trees? A cancerous dog w/an overactive thyroid? Sorry to be so "American" about all this.
  6. It's good here. Much appreciated!
  7. Probably the ample supply of natural redheads.
  8. Same here. I've never been all that taken w/Audrey Hepburn, but she pushes all the right buttons in this one.
  9. Y'all sure you're not all thinking about Flip Wilson?
  10. Sorry, I'm in the Dallas area. Cowboys fan here, for better or (lately) worse. My son follows rhe Texans a bit though, and seems to think that they're building a good team for the future. Still a few seasons away from being serious contenders, though, he thinks. I take his word on stuff like this - the kid's had about a 90% success rate in straight picks over the last few years. If I was smart, I'd raise his allowance and send him out into the world, at least during football season .
  11. That was an ok movie, dug Curtis's recounting of his C.V. to Grant, great bit of subtle sarcasm, also enjoyed seeing Marion Ross as someting besides Mrs. C. Gavin McLeod, other than the MTM show, was he ever NOT on a boat? Who played the nurse/mechanic who captured Arthur O'Connell's heart? Wasn't she a Jerry Lewis stalwart? Not as funny as I had hoped, but a good "recreational" movie. But - To Catch A Thief is on next, and we'd both have preferred watching that one instead. The "head" jokes, however, had me wondering just how far over how many heads those lines were going back then....
  12. Yet we rehired George II last November. Go figure.
  13. Where do you think Mister Ed came from?
  14. I dunno, man, The Warrior and the Slave Girl is the scale-tipper for me.
  15. Geez, Gene Norman makes Earl Wilson sound like Billy Dee Williams...
  16. That's the only way we can keep posting.
  17. Oh geez, a contender for Worst Album Cover Ever AND Worst Song Ever! Some guys have all the luck.
  18. Now back in stock @ DG, and still just $9.99! http://www.dustygroove.com/jazzcd5.htm#31413
  19. I was kinda hoping it would've been che that pushed us over the top.
  20. The difference between Grover Washington & Kenny G is the difference between a backyard burger and a 69 cent McDonalds job left over from the lunch rush.
  21. What is "the lurgy"? Sounds nasty!
  22. Could well be!
