    Tony Scott

  4. Silky Johnson Rosie O'Donnell Dick Holz
  5. Lymphetta Modulus - Laughin' and Cryin'
  6. The Blakey session was not without merit. I'm afraid that the Dorham is.
  7. It was. See Larry's post above
  8. 1966, Farrell was here: https://www.discogs.com/master/544865-Heiner-Stadler-Brains-On-Fire-Vol-1
  9. Why are we thinking of them as his contemporaries? They weren't. He was older and far more established. Joe Farrell in 1960:
  10. Matt Bredus - A Most Incomplete Failure
  11. The Drells The Dells Farmers
  12. Mingus as well
  13. He's really digging in, finding a higher gear than usual, imo. Maybe it's the live setting, maybe it's the opportunity to stretch a length, maybe it's a good buzz and/or a good reed. I don't know. What I do know is that after hearing Joe Farrell all the years and being more or less moved to indifference (literally), his playing here immediately pulled me in and kept me there
  14. And KD's chops give out before all is said and done. It's the one leaked session that is really not worth having been leaked.
  15. Kristina Jalacuzy - Canyon! Farm! Urban!
  16. Sentimental Journey may be even better. This is drug music only better.

    Truck's father?
  21. But the beginning is a free part? Rubato free, but still free?
  22. I like all of it, to be honest. That Columbia record might be my least favorite, but it is still a good listen. And yours is also prime (no pun intended). It's a very close call, but for me, Body Meta would be the one to have if I was having only one. But Dancing In Your Head is the undeniable Big Bang and should be engaged and digested to the fullest extent of the law. Also...don't sleep on the later Tone Dialing. It's not like the Prime Time records, but definitely build them out to some rather interesting and diverging conclusions. It's predictive of a lot of things to come, layers moving at different speeds yet still being coherent wholes. And just for grins, check out Tales Of Captain Black. Just a quartet, but Fully Frisky!!!
  23. Actually thought about it, but it's a two-part article iirc. And getting this stuff out of my closet should include hazard pay.... LOL Still, maybe that's a thing to do over the holiday season. It was a good read then, and probably still is. No promises, but...
