But do, think of the children. In a world increasingly, suffocatingly cluttered with more or less permanent "disposable" litter,borne of human laziness and lack of basic honorable character, do we need to add YouTube audio and excremental PD MusiPornBoxes? I believe that children are our future! But/And seriously - YouTube audio is, at best, an AM transistor radio, only without ballgames, snappy DJs, and clever, professionally crafted (musically and textually!)jingles. So, actually, not even that good!

I was thinking the same thing the other day, actually. I would not be the market for it with jazz like I am the classical boxes, but...yeah. I love those classical boxes, especially the Sony Classics ones that are, like, 20 LPs on 20 CDs, with original LP artwork and the oddball extra cut or two brought in along the way for 40-50 bucks...hell yeah!

My god, if a person can't be bothered to burn a freaking CD from any digital files they can get....how lazy are they? Buying cheap crap incentives the overall quality of the product downward. "Can't make any money off it it"...well, look at how down towards the bottom of the barrel we are now. When the market rewards crap, the market will have more crap fed back to it. Feeding the animals...this is like bottom feeders eating their own shit. "PD Releases"...really not a thing, btw. At least not enough of one to be an accurate describer.

Nobody's talking about waiting for an opportunity to buy anything. Getting the music to hear and buying it are totally different things. If I want to hear something bad enough, I can find a way that doesn't involve buying bullshit. Getting music and buying music, totally different things, totally different discussions. "the PD labels" is a very broad brush. Not all are equal. Some are/were great, some are vile, and the fact of digital is that once it's done, it's generally a race to the bottom and you end up with these MusiPornBox sets, x lpdudes on y cdchicks and it's all totally devolutionary, but that's what some people are into. Nobody's punishing the corporations, people are only punishing themselves with this crap.

And said board member has not gone seeking refuge in offshore crap labels, or through file-sharing, or any other post-modern outlet for whining about oh, I HAVE to put this out there for you...because no, you don't. If the argument is that the majors could have remained profitable and relevant "if only"...I ain't buying it. Too many other factors at play. They might have been able to delay their "demise", not prevent it. Digital had only one logical conclusion, and continuing a viable chokehold on the supply chain wasn't it. No matter, the crap that is out there now, people who buy it are the solution to their own problem. And if they don't see the problem...screw 'em. Obviously. So give it to people in the best available quality. Literally, give it to them. Use the resources at hand to do your good deeds for mankind.
