ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh.............. thank god you had the BBC on that day, that is VERY useful info espically the last part--- for lee n horace they had to change the bussiness plan (ie. give them royalties?)--this sunk them so much they were forced to sell to liberty?

hey so what WAS the deal anyway? jimmys BN contract ran out, and he hopped over to verve, or jimmy just split and let BN issue all the unissued jimmy ie. open house plantalk et al, to fill out the contract, or what was the beef? they touched upon it in that old blue note docu. from the 90s...but they made it seem like it was a big deal-- whats the real story?

i know this is old news, i did a search...but omfg, no, let me repeat: O. M. F. G. i skipped right to una mas, ITS SO GOOD, a definetly closer to the orig and not as diff as i remember that west coast version w/ jackie mclean to be (on cd) the tape quality is good i can tell, the cd mastering hasnt destroyed this album-- is this really off of AM radio? wait was it eq'd mastering? no it seriously doesnt sound like its from the AM radio at all!? its on uptown records. isnt there been asso. w. that label w/ people we know? i was suprised to see it was produced by a M.D. Medical Doctor. hey i have a request. chewy here is 1000% disconnected w/ the modern new-cd market, can u guys keep me hip to releases of this ilk? blue note catalog might be deleted (but who needs those on cd anyway, lol) but this new stuff comming out 2010 is blowing my mind: live KD n joe henderson show? im sorry i didnt touch on every point about this
