  3. finally got this on lp, o wait- the 1st two tracks is the whole live part and side 1 trk 3 and the whole of side two are just "alternate masters" as they say on it, from studio dates?
  4. dude i have the rca victor uk too, its universes beyond the dunhill--is there a 'toilet' uk rca version? i dont it, but dont know for sure How much the model resembles Shirley MacLaine, a very "in" star at the time of this album (1959)! thats like a young shirley mclaine the way wardell gray is like young stan getz, lol jk this chick is way hotter and wardell is way better

  9. Chewy, listen to Miles in Europe after Coletrane left, Miles had huge balls in his solos -- talk about power trumpet playing at its best. okay, you mean miles w/ sam rivers?

  12. although that period is considered primetime for the mobe- i see what youre driving at. its miles hard bop phase and he kind of waters it down, him being miles n all. his solos really never got any balls till the mid 70s--- maybe hank did have to hold back, who knows-- im sure it was a very interesting stage in hanks career, being in that high profile of a group, i wonder what he had to say about it...

  18. my friend who cant remember her name says it wasnt Trudy Pitts, or Shirley or Rhoda Scott-- (those are the names i threw out there) but if he remembers he thinks she had THREE (3) names, like a 1st middle last, or maybe something afro-centric...but definetly a woman and definely on organ, w/ gene ammons in newark, late 60s and such.....can anyone help me out here?//
