Hank Mobley/Messages (prestige)....track: alternating current. i actually think i dont even have it, may be the only mobe track i dont have-- i refuse to settle on the 70s 'messages' issue, im holding out for at least some nice blue label prestige issues if not better (yellow label) -
once again, as i was saying all last month, screw bumbershoot for doublebooking Bob Dylan and Solomon Burke at the exact same time for the Fri. night festival: if anyone who appriciates music was working there they would have noticed that that booking was a problem. RIP

http://start.toshiba.com/news/read.php?rip_id=%3CD9INO2TG0%40news.ap.org%3E&ps=1011 waitwaitwaitwaitwait so JUST NOW, its all starting to unravel for this chick??? I DONT BUY IT. look at last paragraph on 1st page. WHAT THE HELL? i dont buy it. something is off on this story. the usa refuses to give her a passport and she cant open any accts & THAT didnt trigger her off on this? wtf? my take on it, is the husband was pissed about it when he found out about it all, and wanted to back out of the marriage or something. did she ever even have a job, this girl getting married? you need valid SS for that, dont you? whats your take on this. to put it all in other terms, if this girls mother was emminent jj johnson volume one, would the daughter not being rejected for a valid offical US travel passport be jj johnson volume two, or would it simply be eminent jj johnson volume one, but a liberty pressing

hey you guys, my question to you is: i was suprised today to see my copy of fat albert rotunda, is on the Warner label, but has vangelder stampers! what i wanted to know, is: ---are the vangelder stamped issses only on the whitelabel promo (which is what i have) does the standard, i guess it would be...greenlabel issue...does or does not use vangelder stamps. i would guess: no, right? i mean vangelder stampers on a WB record? no way right? well i do seem to recall a grover washington jr record from like 74 ot 75 on motown, and vangelders are on THAT...so....

it all depends what yr doing, really- if you are jon lord in deep purple, you are going to need it. if you are jackie davis playing hammond on jackie gleason 'aphrodesia', you are not going to need to sound like deep purple (btw thats an -essential- hammond lp if you dont already have a copy, jackie gleason aphrodesia)
