SERIOUSLY, they never pop up on ebay, i think one of the reasons is 1st of all THEY DONT EXIST. take a look at the discog: a lot of his early bn leader dates were unrelesaed at the time, like that "nigeria" one thats so good. whats up w/ GG and all his unreleased stuff. what were they trying to do to him? Latin bit when you think about it is one of his 1st released at the time solo lps! weird, huh.

okok i got a 2nd press bluelabel trident logo prestige 'jackie mcclean & co', ok......... side one, has an etched in hand, ""RVG"" and reuses the same stamper and writes the new catelogue # in the wax, beside it side two on the otherhand, JUST has the new cateloggue# in the wax, and the 'vangelder' stamp!!!!!!!!!!!!! O M G! side one is the original stamper but side two was redone!!! omg!

ok you guys ,heres what irks me about this 1st of all ITS 1982, who would be shuttin out groove in 1982? 2nd of all groove seems from his record covers that hes very nice, i cant immagine him trying to cut someone with a broken beer glass or nothin i would like to understand grooves frusteration in this- if you listen to him he sounds very frustered he wasnt able to perform, or somethin

so i was listening to that live 1982 rec. someone linked to, groove keeps saying how what a pleasure it is to be able to play for an audicence once again, how he couldnt for many years, but now hes back to take care of bussiness. another place he mentions he was 'shut out' of jazz clubs.....whats the beef? does anyone know about groove holmes history who can help me understand what hes talkin about?
