http://cgi.ebay.com/Herbie-Hancock-on-Blue-Note_W0QQitemZ300403750259QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMusic_on_Vinyl?hash=item45f1757573 look, he says in his description, """"the sticker promoting Watermelon Man on the front serves to inform the purchaser that a 45 with an edited version of the song has been included with the LP.""""" well then look at the pics!!!!!!!!!! look, the 45, and look at the stamp on it! ------------- so we also then know they did this w/ NATURAL SOUL cause it has a similar "contains the hit single"...sticker.... ---- omg did u guys know about this? i always thought the sticker was simply refering the the album track!!!!!!

SIDEWINDER liberty mono
chewy-chew-chew-bean-benitez replied to chewy-chew-chew-bean-benitez's topic in Artists
the mono one: has the original cover. upper Left Corner says: high fidelity, instead of the BN logo and a prod of Liberty records in fineprint upper rt corner has the 4157 # stampped in usual big BN numbering, not like the stereo that has smallprint stereo////mono numbers listed labels: the mono label is a more darker more robust blue, the stereo label is a lighter shade of blue stereo label has that spot where a deep groove should be, i can feel something on the label and see someting, but its not as pronounced as the mono the mono vinyl seems thicker and/or heaver -

Hank Mobley: BN45-1675....IS MINE
chewy-chew-chew-bean-benitez replied to chewy-chew-chew-bean-benitez's topic in Artists
i haven A/B'ed them but the 45, art gets a trumpet solo, horace gets a solo, theres even a bass solo, then hank come in w/ a solo last. oh and ive figured out my favorite song for my father ever is the 45, by FAR. omg side 2 of that is the best. its a fadein right in time for joes solo. its like that warne record the art of improvising. gets right to the point! you mean dick bock? are his 45 edits notoriously bad or somethjing?
