  1. dude, no--- i cant see ANYTHING wrong w/ the vinyl in the spot it happens, at the store they thught it was a bubble in the vinyl, i cant see i under close inspection- it just looks flat and clean to me........... dude seriously, its the cleanest NY USA orig 1st press BN ive ever bought secondhand- so theres a bumpity bump on the end of track 1, its after the grant solo, its all good-
  2. OH MY GOD THIS "LATIN BIT" IN THE 10 DOLLAR BIN IS SO CLEAN ITS SO CLEAN. FOR THE 1st six seconds i was holding it, i thought it was a late 80s domestic lp reissue or an 80s Pathe Marconi reissue but at second number 7, i realized what it really was--- ok side 1 track 1 has this chunk that doesnt skip, but BUMPS, you hear a jolting BUMP in the vinyl for a few min. i didnt see anything on the vinyl, i have to look carefully now... but besided that its sooooooo clean omg jacket AND disc are Soooooooooooooooooo clean
  3. oh, i see.....1966 at newport--- ah it WAS from italy, i knew i smelt smothing!!!
  4. it is some kind of weird jazz series: #64... its his 1961 live session doesnt really say where or exactly when.... do you know? lp says on back: armando curcio editoe front says curcio/i giganti del jazz \ i have a feeeling these were radio shows or whatnot, i dont know
  5. interesting--i have to get my classical VOX lps to see if i have one i wonder then if curtis fuller- slidin' easy (isnt that UA/'59) i wonder if that has it like the bluenotes
  6. i had a sealed Pausa Lee/Warne lp, prob the one you mention- i ripped it open and played it and it was good!
  7. ok ok i dont think ive seen any of these playstlylite or (sic) or etc lps, besides BN, prestige too right? but what about other non bluenote lps, hugo winterhalder or whatever the...// u get what im saying

  10. i so deserve a better sidewinder than this.....this copy will just tide me over till i get a better one.....
  11. RIP great Curtis Amy collaborator
  12. hey u guys, this liberty sidewinder only has vangelder// stereo stampers on the side A....does that mean side b is not the original stampers necessarily?
  13. wow, lexington ave labels on a liberty? wonder what title he saw that on?!? this guy is right on, but it makes ebay more and more sketchy---- if you are not careful you can have a disaster... just capitulated and bought the liberty sidewinder....to replace my 1980 "pacific jazz" issue of it-- its not a 1st press, but its rvg stampers.... so blue note STORED the metal parts to these 1st pressings for later ones? even thru the 70s or some titles, is that it?
  14. the 1st tghing i said tonight, was MY GOD THIS 1961 VINYL SUCKS IN COMPARRASION TO THE 50s STUFF..... MINE IS MORE AKIN TO DYNOFLEX COMPARED TO PLAYSTYLITE. OMG ITS FUNNY IT EVEN SAYS BLUE NOTE> I MEAN YEA IT SOUNDS GREAT BUT WHEN DID THE PLASTYLITE STOP? THAT IS A TRUE 1st PRESS> ALTHOUGH IM DEBATING THE LIBERTY SIDEWINDER TO TIDE ME OVER TILL I FIND A 1st....
  15. ok ok, so this RVG STEREO stamped really really good condition freedom rider/art blakey i found-- NY USA labels on both sides.....cover too, no liberty nothing...but thye JACKET IT CAME IN....its the "27 years of blue note" jacket: 1939-1966. it pictures jackie mclean right now! and dippin. besides the sleeve how else would i distinguish this. so what i have is prob. a liberty pressing but uses rvg stampers, and old jackets and old labels? help me here... so if i was on ebay, and buying this, would i have to pay 200 bucks for a LIBERTY IN DISGUISE... ive never seen ths covcered...theres potential for a big mistake there...
  16. ok i have 2 of these lps, i dont know if theres more...right now im spinning 'quietly there'- the wordless-vocal choir really adds a 60s pop element, oh god i dont know if you can even call it 60s pop, lemme try again,....60s mainstream-conservative-popular-music.....i dont know but do u guys know these ones....they are not the ultimate "jazz w/ strings" records, but they have a good feel oh wait, its not wordless anymore......
  17. oh god i want that shellys manne hole complete vid so bad....

  21. IVE READ THE LETTER IN THE PAST AND NOW I AM READING IT AGAIN NOW AND I HAVE SOMETHING SO SAY: this is a really screwed up-read. 1st, he tells these messed up family secrets that have like nothing at all to do w/ brian and the beach boys, and he tries to compare it all to how brians family treated brian, and then he is talking shit about Gary Usher-- i have a question,---that parts complete hogwash, correct? where murrays all badmouthing the hollywood music people. isnt gary usher like exteremly important in the development of the beach boys? the point about honesty in bussiness, i mean, i dont know what his definition of honesty in bussiness is, but the concept is altruistic, i do agree w/ it to a lot of ways, but oh then he calls the beatles a "fad"-- btw i google-mapped that apt. i think u can go visit it!!! i also dont dig what murrays trying to acomplish by telling brian abt murrary and wifes relationship, etc etc...gross the only acurate thing he mentions is how mike love could be a problem for the beach boys! lolololoolololol yo and murray was PISSED at the Beach boys for getting wasted and doing groopies! then murray says: "The simple fact is that we all have to face up eventually to our mistakes and when this time comes, each and every one of you will become men" i mean, that is a very broad life-lession that murray wasnt predictiong, but, at least hes not badmouthing gary usher-- i like my mono hey little cobra with future beach boys bruce johnston (did u know he ***WITNESSED*** john dolphin get shot, u know, at the dolphins shop in LA, bruce johnson was THERE- he was with that drummer, oh god....u knjowl, the one on liberty and every one of the covers as a hot chick on it, and i always wanna buy the record for the cover but i never do cause i know the music will be lame but oh god...SANDY NELSON.
  22. and we all know what happened then!!! right jsngry! lol
  23. whats up w/ this big gap? he wasnt incarcerated, i know, right?
