mine is not the classic white/blue but the later liberty one, you know, the boxy square blue note logo. dead wax says VANGELDER bottom of the lp sleeve is weird too, the part that says also avail in stereo is exposed, i think it was supposed to land under the flap, but its all there: even though mine is stereo...

ugh- that phil woods cover is so ugly. id take ten peter erskines over one phil woods any day -
they taught be about the power of compact disc and how mastering makes or breaks the record: this weekend i met this really pretty singer/songwriter chick whos doin her own cd: i was talkin to her about mastering, and she was all: well were gonna produce this and that and this and that produce produce, then after all our producing, were gonna send it off and get the cds done, some local dude or something, etc and i was all NO!N!OO!O! thats the most important step: FLAT TRANSFER of the master tapes, no compression. steve hoffman is right . why they stopped making real cds ill never know. -we have the technology, why not use it-

that is amazing information which increases my already exteremly high respect for Art Pepper im espically pleased to learn Art appriciated the Beach Boys. did art enjoy classical music at all too? did you guys ever go to the symphony or ballet? -

thanks for your response Art dug pop music too? thats awesome-- any other popular bands he particularly found interesting? lol @ only liking pre 1953 art/ i can listen to art on 78 rpm with kenton then i can listen to Freddie Hubbard MISTRAL where Art takes a fusion-solo
