  15. is there a real "chewy" lp cover do you think? note to self: buy the Del-Fi on ebay: hope its not cheesy cause its jazz on del-fi--- bill perkins + b3 + BILLY????? can this equation equal more than cheese?
  16. i cant wait for the malpractice trial to start, she would be chillin' today, if they had immidiately opened her head up in surgery.... but instead, because "Zerprexteline" [or insert any fictitous drug-co. brand name here] bought the ninth floor Bucca Di Peppo the week before, they put Richardson on god knows what take two and call me in the morning garbage and , blah blah blah- and wham, pricesss diana 2009. alllow chewy to break it down: if there was a doctor who knew how to do surgery in that Northeastern American/canadian region, they prob. would of got him over there- but there WASN'T- all they have are a bunch of charlie parker immitators
  17. whoa Jsngry, whats up w/ that Del Fi?? Bill perkins is on it? wow whats it like?
  18. no it definetly does not say MONO on the bottom of the labels like that....but otherwise it looks similar, and its def. the mono catalogue #, and it def. sounds great, even though its scratchy!
  19. this was a phonemonal time in the history of hard bop, and the history of the jazz messengers::: these period 60-61 albums show a more modern, updated version of hard bop. they are very good albums, very different from jazz messengers of five years earler.
  20. he played bass on ping pong
  21. i am happy to hear this important musican of jazz is still chillin'!!!!! i hope he gets to give some more interviews of some sort, all u guys love the hard bop, and im telling you, J. Merritt was there for all of it~!
  22. SO I PICKED UP IN THE .99 C. BIN THIS SCRATCHY MONO COLUMBIA/ **not** six-eye, but yes columbia (USA...not Korean Rip-off Columbia in monocrome xeoroxed covers) even though its not an original six eye i am pleased to finally expierence this mono mix for this all too important jazz lp////// my 1st thoughts when i heard it today was, joe marillos cymbals...commin thru just fine!!!! ---and--- this is the stuff that really paved the way for Yes, jammin in 5/4 and stuff look so i dont know exactly when my record is from, but its def. mono but its also def. not a six eye, its like a columbia one eye, lol.
