  1. I actually discovered a side was a 10” fitted dub of a 12” 78 I got : art Tatum flyin home (Comet) Whatya think about the king Cole - is that a find?
  2. A dub!!!!! Oh god thanks john!! i thought the king Cole was a dub at first the date was so similar to the studio recording date - but then I put it in and it’s live aircheck from the club!!!! Yeah he flip doesn’t match the vocalion!!!!

Well I'm glad to hear he received as major a shout-out as they could of thrown together, I guarentee you we, would of gone further (KINKOS CAN YOU GIVE ME A 64x75 COLOR PRINT OF THIS LOU 78 LABEL?) Good update. ---- in this house we believe w/o BNs early success w/ Lou, it never would of evolved as a modern label the way it did, it would of remained a hot jazz revivial footnote label a la Commodore.

  9. Pat Martino was one of the greatest guitarists i ever saw. I last saw him around 8 years ago and remember it well. He was phonomenal. What he was doing was only done by him

  12. Don Was has followed through with my instructions, and is doing a huge Lou bday salute Nov 2 ar Dizzys Lincoln Center. If you are in the area and have money and the will to do stuff, this looks like a good bet
  13. you guys prestige gets filed by catalog numbers. whether or not you put New Jazz issues with prestige nunbers in the prestige or seperated new jazz section at end is up to you I personally have them at end even the ones w/ prestige catalog numbers-- maybe i will review that.

I have it on top of my fridge for you....come on over my guy!
