  7. All this week ---> Norman Granz
  8. More of that fine big band - Moanin'is on CD
  9. Nice. I've never seen Bobby Watson live. Need to correct that! I think those two CDs with his Horizon band -- The Inventor and Post Motown Bop -- are among Watson's best. We had Bobby Watson with Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers live in a private concert here in Koblenz, Germany (1979) in our jazz club. Some more Shearing on MGM IMO his best period
  10. Good LP. a little bigger group ---> these are here
  11. Well I dont read it that way from the backside. "digitally remixed" is that rechanneled mono indeed like many of Kentons Creative World series? I doubt it. Thre is no Info in the liner notes that the original was mono. Correct is that it is an analogue master from 1984 Please explain. Thanks Addendum: Have 583 Items between 1980 and 1990. I think the 1950s & 1960s were the best years for jazz.

  14. Re: Charlie Mariano When Fresh Sound Records started their business it was in the beginning with rare US and small labels. At that btime I bought a lot of these relpica editions. After they turned to issue CD's some of these early vinyls appeared again on CDs but not all. I think this in one of those not on CD's.
