  1. Not exactly sure why, but pic 3 from that series is simply phenomenal. Good find. Kids sure were ugly back in them thar days...
  2. Had tons of them in Florida. Great looking bird, and excellent pics.
  3. I would have to seriously doubt it. With everything going digital there would simply be no need for them. Some grand irony, isn't it? The internet is renown for connecting us all together, yet it affords us all the opportunity to never leave home...
  4. The big boys will be closing their brick and mortars before too long. The book store is going the way of the dodo.
  5. I might have approached Spinal Tap with my expectations too high. I had already watched A Mighty Wind and Best In Show beforehand and found it to be woefully unfunny in comparison. BTW, Animal was hilarious to me when I first saw it, but I watched it again a few years ago and was shocked by how lame it now seems. Every Which Way But Loose also falls into that category.
  6. What About Bob? is one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. Bill Murray and Richard Dreyfuss at their very best.
  7. Right? Not an observation I'd have ever made, but right on the money. The latter was one of the first movies I ever saw in letterbox format on tv. A really outstanding movie. It wasn't really slapstick though, was it?
  8. I'll second every one of those. Planes, Trains, & Automobiles, especially. Terribly underrated movie, IMO.
  9. Ridley Scott is a master when it comes to visuals. Can't to check this one out.
  10. Ghost World was very good. Excellent stretch for Buscemi, who is one of the best actors of his generation, IMO. Still haven't seen Being John Malkovich after all of these years.
  11. Yep, another excellent film.
  12. What's a yoot? Best In Show is one of my favorite comedies of all time.
  13. I love the Christopher Guest circle of friends that came out of Spinal Tap, but agree that that movie is really bad. It' just not funny.
  14. The new movie where Bill Murray plays FDR looks like it will be thoroughly entertaining. All-in-all I have to admit I think his brother is the funnier of he two. Not that Bill is that far behind.
  15. Been in triple digits since Wednesday. Supposed to hit 102 today. High 90's Monday and Tuesday, then back into trips for the rest of the week. Lovely...
  16. Alright, what the hell is going on in here?!
  17. I mentioned it over at JC already, but I hope you had a great B-Day, my friend!!
  18. Guy, I hope you had an incredible B-Day, my friend! I apologize for checking in so late.
  19. Wishing you nothing but the very best, my friend!!
  20. If that's a painting, it's a pretty fucking incredible one!!
  21. That's cool, Guy. I just think it's really freaky (and not in a good way). And that's why I like it. It seems a total antithesis to what Coltrane would have wanted. And for some bizarre reason, that makes it really interesting to me. Not to mention how it is almost completely unrelated, stylistically, to the music within. It looks more like something you'd find on a 80's Speed/Death metal album cover, not on a cover of a musician who was more about peace and enlightenment. And that completely fucked up juxtaposition will always win over a demented mind like mine. Either way, you can't argue against the overall artistic beauty of the drawing. Or, maybe you can............
  22. Best combination of awesome music and great album cover.
  23. Horrid album, but pretty cool cover, IMO.
